    I read this thread & did a small amount of checking , what I found said it wasn't a compatible swap . Don't know why . I don't think I'd chance it unless I found credible evidence that it'd work . Might screw up PCM or something . Since the PCM just sends a ground signal to the injectors to fire...

    The mileage alone would keep me from paying that much for an 02 2WD Liberty . There are nice 4X4 Liberty's of that vintage in my area with a lot fewer miles in the $3,000 & less range .

    I was reading the thread about KJ not running hot enough . Exactly what is the scangauge you guys are running all the time & what all does it show ? Are there some that are better than others ? I'm probably interested in a reasonably priced one that does the job . Links ?

    02 jeep liberty

    I believe the coils have constant power on one wire & the other wire is a signal ground wire that goes to the PCM . If the coils have power but not firing I'd say they're not getting the ground signal from the PCM for some reason . Are all engine & head grounds clean & connected ?

    Who furnished the parts , you or the shop ? If the shop furnished the parts , take it back till they make it right . If you furnished the parts , either you haven't got it bled properly or you got a defective part .

    I had a friend , professional welder , weld a cracked cast iron exhaust manifold for me . He said the rod was expensive , if I remember correctly I believe he said it was a nickel rod . Anyway I had that truck for about 5 years after that & the weld held with no problems .

    As far as I know it would be legal to try & clean them & I've read about using soapy water & other things with mixed results . Not what I was referring to though .

    Don't have to remove them either . As long as the cats aren't clogged & the engine is running fine you can get rid of the codes .
