Good to know. I was thinking it might be software. The tire size is stock at least. Maybe I'll make a visit to the dealer then. Did they charge any to do it?
Fuel sources have been consistent, power band has been where it usually was. I just had the plugs out for inspection and they were all on spec(even after 40k). Trans fluid was changed in feb.
Recently I have noticed the lib has a "buck" or hesitation when at 40mph going up a hill I get behind someone. It doesn't do it if I "OD OFF" button, but it's like its confused on the gearing. Going up the hill faster or slower doesn't make an issue but 40 does. Is this fairly common? As stated...
Flowmaster could be cool but straight piping is just annoying for most situations. The body of a liberty is not such to absorb much sound from the floor, so you would get a headache about as bad as the people around you. I would vote HiD if you want to go that route. Safer and more...
Sounds to me like a throttle position sensor or something in that vicinity. That would control the mixture management and low end throttle stability. In any event it sounds like electrical. Ran good then not good in one cycle sounds electrical.
A bad Water pump will usually sound like a "wooo" when the engine is running normal. The easiest way to do the audio test is to find it with the engine off, then monitor that location to differentiate it from the ambient engine noise. The other telltale will be a noticeable sweat on the seal of...
When I turn the fan speeds 1-3 I get nothing. 4(max) works as it should. This is a 2005 stock lib so nothing unusual in it. I took the blower control panel out and looked it over(just the dash part) and found nothing amiss. The pneumatics work fine and it makes heat, but no blower in the lower...
It almost sounds like an electrical issue. Correct me if I am wrong, but the auto trans uses electronic solenoids to shift/clutch? One of my coworkers went through a similar symptom for a couple months, dealer trips and all(under warranty anyway) on a GMC/Allison trans. It ended up being the...
Thanks, I forgot about the side panel. It came with a relay but I thought since it ran in the driveway it was alright without it. Oh well. Tweaking time :)
I just put my new harbor Freight air horn kit on today and it sounds nice, but I went to test it and the circuit went dead(It fired like 5 or 6 times in the driveway). I can't find any blown fuses under the hood or a fuse marked horn. Is there a hidden fuse somewhere or am I screwed?
I'm tempted to get one of those bumpers myself. I was driving along one day and hit a speed bump(which in kj terms is fun) and it made a mud-flap scrapy noise. I got out and looked and sure enough some moron in a parking lot had backed my front bumper so hard it had a crack from one of the tow...
I swear by mobil 1 and purolator brands. In the winter I like the extra durability of the KN filters, but the rest of the time the Purolator Gold is good. They recently went to a textured outside coating wich makes things nice and ergonomic, although the 3.7L is really easy to reach anyhow...
I second the professional standpoint on that one. The color would be a challenge but if you give them the whole vehicle then you stand a better chance of getting it. The prep is something best left to them also, since there are a vast range of primers and topcoats that can interact when crossed...
