Installed the hd shroud and fan and so far all seems ok but.... Could not get the electric fan to come on. It works with power applied from the battery and even plugging in my old fan it will not come on. Is it commanded by the AC switching on or by temp? I've read the relays go bad in these...
Oil change and rotated tires. I started installing an external trans cooler, started running out of time and hose at work so got the parts I need and will finish when my fan shroud and fan blade show up.

I ordered all I need for the heavy cooling. Should be here in the next couple days. Does the extra fan and shroud make it any harder to get to the oil filter?

Thanks Bob! I was going to post this very question here today. My '02 does not have heavy duty cooling and have been looking for what I need as we are shopping for a larger camper. I was unaware of the 2k limit on standard 3.7 and passed up one with a tow package when I got my liberty. Those...
I finished installing the controller finally. Had to install on the left side of the steering as the obd connector is to the right. Fits good but may move out a little so more access to the top controls. I found the control wire behind the kick panel but ended up running the control with all...
Thanks! So the wire tucked away is actually the 12 v signal from the brake switch? If so, I can tap that, get my neg/pos then run a single wire to the back of the vehicle?

I am planning installing a trailer brake controller that I have. I searched here and still not sure the best way. 2002 4x4 limited with evic and no trailer package.
I keep reading about hidden wires and needing to buy a harness from jeep. Can I just wire the controller independent off all this...
Luke: they are 245/75r16's
The wheels are an odd grayish silver color, some angles looks like primer gray and others more silverish. One guy at work said I should paint them silver.....duh they are silver. Sort of an "industrial" looking finish the more I look at I think really looks cool.
Finally got my Soft 8's and Duratracs done at work today. Wasn't sure about the silver but they look good. I might paint them gray later but happy for now :). A little pinch weld rubbing as I didn't want to stay late to pound them down but will soon.

I had the Yokohama AT's on a 2wd F150. Drove through an ice storm and several inches of snow from Atlanta back to Florida. They handled very well and we got home safely. First time in 20 years having to drive in those conditions again and don't think we would have attempted the drive without...
Here's 245/70r16's on factory wheels
Here's what I have for tomorrow's project
245/75r16 Wrangler Duratracs and Soft 8's. I'll hopefully have some pictures tomorrow. :)
Looks great Elmer!
Just got my soft 8's this week and duratracs are ordered should be in by thurs or fri.
I got the silver wheels but getting painted a gun metal sort of gray before mounting the tires I hope :)
The only " lift kit" is the taller springs. Shocks are basic to replace. You can use a rubber mallet cut in half and drill the center for your rear bump stops too.
