I replaced the spark plugs with NGK ZFR6F-11G. I was pleased to find the plugs that were already in there were the same type. The Jeep is more responsive from the throttle now which is nice. I feel like i should have changed the coils as well. Who knows when they were last done. Next job i...
I had new OME Nitro shocks (N132) installed in the rear plus new OME 948 rear springs. It drives soooo much better now, especially around corners. Much less body roll and it feels like it grips the road better. Its slightly higher in the rear now, too. The guy who installed them says he had them...
I drove my Jeep all over town listening for clunks and yes, it seems my left rear shock is blown. Those bilsteins only have 25k km on them too. Corrogated roads eh.
Yes, running Bilsteins. Hmm you may have a point. I know the tri link was stuffed for sure, perhaps i have a dodgy shock too. Ill have to have closer look.
Edit; the recommended Bilstein rear shock in the KJ Lift section doesnt appear to be available anymore. Would this shock be suitable...
Going over bumps and rough spots in the road.
Edit: I know the old arm was stuffed as the ball joint was completely loose in its socket. So I'm sure it was the part responsible for the noise. I just can't understand why it still sounds like the ball joint is bouncing around in its socket. I'll...
Finally, FINALLY got that bloody rear upper control arm installed. It's often the simplest jobs that are the most frustrating. I couldn't remove the bracket and install it that way as the bolt heads were already rounded and rusted on.
In the end it was simply a matter of getting the diff at...
Im a little unsure what you mean? Do you mean part number 9 via the below link? Am I able to remove this, insert the ball joint outside of the Jeep and then reinstall it with it already in the bracket? Cheers...
Had a go at installing the rear upper control arm. The old one came out easily but ive had a hard time getting the new one in. Specifically getting the ball joint stud to go into the hole completely. I was so close! I had about 3mm more to go but it just wouldn't budge. It was in just enough to...
I think my front right window regulator is about to die too. The window goes down easily, but going up it shudders, squeaks and squeals.
Is this the part I need? More Information for VDO WL41527
Thanks
My rear upper control arm has arrived. I think ill have a crack at installing it myself tonight. I found a good how to video on youtube and it looks pretty straight forward.
My last car had a faulty starter motor. Sometimes I would turn the key and nothing would happen. The dash lights came on but no sound from the engine. I had to hit it with a hammer and it would fire right up. So weird. I did this trick for a couple of months before the starter died completely.
I recently had the Moog Problem Solver rear arms installed. I don't know if its true or not, but the mechanic mentioned to me that they seemed slightly longer than the stock ones. Theyre certainly much more bulky.
I have the same problem but that's because the rear diff sensor has completely severed from the wires to sensor. Corrugated roads are a b##@*! Ive ordered a new sensor and will have to try and wire it up when it arrives.
