Windshield
Chrysler dropped the rubber strip (molding) to save a few pennies, but if you have the windshield replaced by anyone other than the stealership, it's apparently SOP for them to go ahead and add the molding strip that Chrysler originally speced.- retmil46

We oilburners have noted the same thing. In our case, the reason is twofold - we're blessed with 5th gear OD that kicks in at 58 MPH, and above 2000 engine rpm the common rail injection system drops out one of the two pilot injections. Doesn't hurt either that max torque begins around 1800 rpm.- retmil46

I'll second on the maintenance part - my CRD SHOULD burn oil, a 3.7 gasser shouldn't. That engine has some definite issues. Get it straightened out, and you should see a definite improvement even with a lift and sucky gearing. After all the major maintenance I recently did on my oilburner...- retmil46

I had considered one on the roof as well - but I was told by a fellow CRD owner that the factory roof rails (ones running front to rear) on our '05's are only rated for 75 lbs total, and nothing whatsoever directly on the roof itself, per the owners manual. You can get a Hayden fan clutch, P/N 2736 for 02-07 KJ V6's, for $55. Also, the 11 bladed nylon fan is still available online for around $60. Oil filter issue at Valvoline IOC
Exactly. With an OEM size filter on my CRD, it takes 6 1/2 quarts. If I use a Mobil 1 M1-301 or Amsoil EaO-26 (longer and larger diameter, same thread and gasket size), it'll easily take 7 quarts. In-Radiator Tranny Cooler AND Standalone?
Check the tranny section in the FSM (for 05 it has a picture which identifies the inlet and outlet connections on the tranny itself), or stop by a tranny shop that's dealt with your type tranny and ask. Infrared thermometer at Autozone for $30 - less painful and more accurate than your fingers!- retmil46

2003 Jeep Liberty passenger side heated seats problem
Offhand, might be the fuse or circuit breaker supplying power to the heating element is out - and the blinking light is telling you there's no power to it - or the heating element itself is burned out, and the blinking light is telling you it doesn't see anything hooked up (ie, open circuit).- retmil46

FYI for those that own a gasser KJ AND a CRD KJ - the same oil filter will fit on both - same thread size and gasket size - just have to be careful of the outside dimensions (length and diameter).- retmil46
