Agreed...there's no way to tell what you wiring you have until you look. There's a lot of great info around here for a lot of projects...but no two installs ever seem to work out the same. Yea i know, kind of cold to take all the info you gave me and then use it like that...- Boilermaker

Unless you have the proper wiring for the tpms transponders in your wheel wells, the '05 evic will not give you pressure readings. An '04 out of a KJ will basically work (its what i have in my '05). I've got the shift kit....just haven't put it in because i'm going to have to have somebody else install it and its money that i no longer have. I wasn't optimistic about them when i heard its was more of a corrective kit. After the flash i may want to change some of the shifting...- Boilermaker

Just got off the phone with B&G...they change the shift points so that shifts are made at higher rpms, so it should get into 4th a little later. I should have some first hand experience in about 10 days. In the mean time, i'm going to start taking some base line number for comparison.- Boilermaker

rust problems
I've had mine at the dealership twice for rust repairs. The largest was in the engine bay, below the battery. I've also had problems around the cargo area, but my problem was at the bottom of the door opening. Seems like water sits on the weld and eats the paint up. Its also not as bad as...- Boilermaker

Throttle body question
Look into the Fastman throttle body. Almost every opinion i see about it on the net is positive. It's on my performance to do list, along with a B&G custom flash. I have no real desire to go as far as cams, custom pistons, headers, etc so i'm no help there...but if you want some more info...- Boilermaker

It's here. 2008 Jeep Liberty "KK" - Pics and Specs
Not as horrible from the outside as i thought, but i still think the KJ is better. Looks like they've made some real effort to improve the interior. I've been having a problem figuring out which mirrors are auto dimming, maybe you've come across the answer. Are the auto dimming mirrors marked in any way to show they auto dim? Auto Dim Mirror Wiring
Pins 4 & 5 are supposed to go to side mirrors that are also capable of auto dimming, to dim them when the rearview mirror dims. Since KJ mirrors are not capable of dimming, never spliced those wires up into anything. Also never did anything with pin 3; that just disables the dimming feature...- Boilermaker
