Contemplating between 2 KJs, help!
Assuming it drives fine, I'd probably go for the '06. Less miles + 3 years newer + Limited = higher value. As far as the hitch, any dealer will install one for no charge under the recall.- belvedere

I'm going to put some new AT3s on the Libby. ($70 Cooper rebate until 4/15!) I just replaced the shocks, and when I did that, put an extra upper spring isolator in the rear and a 1/4" spacer in front...so, a whopping 1/2" lift. My question is: can I go with 235/75R16 rather than the stock...- belvedere

Transmission Flush
It's really not hard to do a pan drop & filter change. However, if you don't want to DIY, see if you can found a good small indy shop (not necessarily a trans shop) that will allow you to provide your own ATF+4. IIRC, it takes about 6 qts.- belvedere

my 2005 liberty wont start
Honestly it could be a lot of things. If it were mine, I'd start by measuring the fuel pressure. If you could put a gauge on it and then get it to act up, that would be great, but it's hard to "catch them in the act"!- belvedere

"engine doesn't want to turn over"...this means the starter won't crank, but I have seen people on forums say this when it will crank but not start. So, just to clarify, is the starter running?- belvedere

Only 3 wheel drive
Hard to diagnose without being there. Just from your description of noise from the front end, I might look at wheel bearings, CV joints, and the joints on the front driveshaft.- belvedere

I can only speak from personal experience. I had an '82 RamCharger, and the lock-up converter started to act up. I had a guy disable the lock-up function - Chrysler actually made the parts specifically to do that. I sold it to a friend with around 160k miles. I don't know how many miles are...- belvedere

Maybe the tech can watch the lock/unlock on a scan tool during a test drive, and see if something is not happening when it should.- belvedere
