I hate to start a thread about this but while searching ran into conflicting information.
Need to replace the U-joints on the rear shaft; plan on buying the U-joints from Napa but they have conflicting part numbers / info as well. Which U-joints do I need o' wise JeepKJ community? Are...
Had a tire replaced. Brought it in because I picked up a screw in the tread but there also happened to be a big ass slice that could be pulled back to reveal the cords. Good thing I had the replacement certs from Discount. Got that taken care of then rotated my tires when I got back home.
On...
Your assumption is correct. Hopefully you didnt knick any wires. As far as the plastic having a hole I wouldn't worry about that. Mine broke off years ago and I haven't experienced any Ill effects.
Its a b****. Remove battery. Remove battery tray. Remove screw that holds the steering shaft bracket so you can wiggle it around for some clearance. Then a ratchet extension than a swivel then another extension or something along those lines. You then can stuff an arm up in there and go to town...
I have those tires and I like 'em. Should do you well come winter; I know you guys get crazy amounts of snow. Don't think they are the best bet if mpg's are the main concern though.
Changed the rear brakes today. Original pads lasted 90k miles. Well, more like 89,800 miles; probably should have changed them last week. :D
Wanted to replace the rear axle wheel bearings but ran out of time. Will have to do that next week. Speaking of which, is there a write up or how to on...
X2 on the Hankook Dynapros. I spend a good deal of time driving in sandy wash bottoms with no problems. Traction is decent in rocks, does OK in mud, and performs quite well all around. Road noise is good IMO but I have been running mud terrain tires prior to this so my opinion might be skewed...
My dad runs them on his Chevy 1500 and AWD Chevy Astro van. He loves them. He was pissed they didn't come in a size he could put on my moms Rav4. They do awesome in snow.
I am going to have to give this a try. Have been meaning to try something and fix the noises for a while. The passenger side rear seat squeak drives me insane on the longer off road excursions. I always forget to do anything about it till it's to late. The rear glass has gotten worse as...
I read your post in the other thread and you broke a bolt off in the other bracket? Is there any part of the bolt you could grab with pliers to get it out or could you get it out with an extractor?
Also, the bracket attached to the bumper isn't attached to the grill in any way. Is there...
Removal is easy. One star bolt attaches it to the bumper. Have to remove the grill to unplug the wires. Grill has tabs on top that pop off then pull it up and out.
Don't know about adding new non OEM lights. Probably have to cut the plug off and wire them up. Should come with a bracket and...
Since you have the grill with the fog lights, why not rewire the turn signal lights to where the fog lights are? Then just slap some amber bulbs in there and call it a day. I have no idea if that is feasible and have not done so myself but it would be the first thing I would try to do if I...
