If your current OEM pan is good shape it's pretty easy to add a drain plug to it.

Got her patched up and the four flange bolts and springs replaced. 87 smackers and I was out the door at a Muffler Man. They told me the old hunt camp Jeep should stay nice and quiet for many more years.
I ended up grabbing the high beam wire at the drivers side headlight bulb harness and didn't even bother installing a switch in the cab. Tough part was tightening the vertical adjusting bolts once I had them aimed properly. Not a lot of room cuz the lights end up hugging the grill pretty tight.
Just degreased the heck out of the sensor to get a better look at it. Like Uss2 said, a bolt on the side holds it in place. I would think it would drip straight down if it was just a bad O-ring so I'm guessing that the body on mine is also cracked. The whole sensor and wiring harness is coated...
Still have a slight leak but it appears to be coming from a sensor mounted on the passenger side. Anyone ever have this issue and is it easy to seal up? Will I lose any Trans fluid if I pull it???
Decided to go the RTV route. That Permatex Trans pan sealer is a bear to get out of the tube!!! I think I pulled a thumb muscle!!!!:) Got everything finger tight right now and will be doing the final torque in an hour like the directions state. Fingers crossed she seals up OK!!!!!
I did end...
Got the pan off and all cleaned up. It looks good and did not take a hit but does have a very slight warp to it when I put it on a glass table top. I picked up a Fel-pro gasket at Autozone but I can't tell if it's paper or rubber. The plan is to install it tomorrow and see what happens unless...
One last question: Can I put a switch inline with the high beam trigger wire to the new relay? That way I could also run the high beams without the PIAAs turning on?
Thanks Uss! Those diagrams are tough for me to figure out but I think I have it. Think I would be fine tapping into the drivers side high beam wire right at the bulb socket? That way I wouldn't have to run anything through the firewall.
I'm installing a set of PIAA five inchers on the bumper of a 2002. Instead of a separate switch I just want them to come on with the high beams. Anyone know where I can tap into the high beam trigger wire and what color it is on a 2002 Sport??? Of course i'll just be triggering a separate...
Ebay took care of the problem. $35.00 for a pull off motor and it works just fine. Note to self: rear door and glass must be closed when checking to see if the rear wiper motor works!!!:)
Was trying to adjust the headlights on an 02 and found that the drivers side plasic adjusting assembly is cracked. I did a search and could not find a replacement. Is it part of the whole headlight assembly or a replaceable part?
Are you saying that you use a rubber gasket and RTV? I'm gonna check the pan to see if it's warped and go from there. There's just a tiny little dent in the flange that's actually hard to see.
Degreased the 02 to look for a leak and found that the trans pan gasket is the culprit. Looks like it took a little hit on the drivers side. Tried to snug her up a little bit which, of course, made it worse. So my question: Have you had better luck with a gasket or RTV?????
I know I gotta...
Getting ready to mount a set of 5 inch round PIAAs on the bumper of a 2002 Sport. Anyone have the measurements from the grill and from the bumper drop or do I have to not be lazy?:emotions34:
So far, the game plan is to just drill up through the access cut out right through the plastic bumper...
Well I was kinda hoping you would drive to the cabin in Michigan and help me out!!:icon_lol:
Just crawled under there and found the leak. It's just behind the flange on an upper seam. Called around and got some quotes: $160.00 to $180.00 for a cat back and $40.00 to $60.00 for a patch job...
