KJ's a pretty good off-roader
I was never a big Jeep fan but I gotta say that I'm really liking the hunt camp KJ!!! Been bow hunting with it the last 10 days and I'm very impressed with it's off-road ability. What's growling at me?
Well, the sound has now gone away. I'm thinking it did have something to do with the AC system. The AC system in this KJ requires a recharge every 3 months because it leaks out. I tried the AC yesterday and it just blows warm air now. I'll have to wait until next summers recharge to see if...- fishyx

Power steering fluid change
Gonna change the PS fluid on the old 2002 hunt camp Lib this weekend. The 02 calls for regular PS fluid. Any brand should get the job done???? Game plan is to turkey baste it until it's clear again.- fishyx

Oil leak?
Any oil hitting the ground? I've been looking at the old 2002 and there's lots of oil on the lower front of the motor but nothing has ever hit the ground. Seems to be lots of threads on this subject but I don't understand how an oil leak doesn't screw up a nice new cement driveway. Even if it...- fishyx

Trans pan (RTV or Gasket?)
Just had an idea (Yikes)! Thinking about pulling that leaky sensor today and trying to seal it with a little Trans RTV. I'll just put a little bit around the o-rings after a thorough cleaning. Watcha think????- fishyx

Another where's the oil going thread (Lots of it!)
If there is some kind of external oil leak like a valve cover gasket or oil sending unit wouldn't it be hitting the ground when parked????? I don't think any oil is dripping on the exhaust system.- fishyx

So far I just put the incan back in the rear dome and now the slight glow of the front dome leds is not bad at all.- fishyx

Replaced my interior lights with LEDS and now they won't turn off.
I just installed leds in the 2002 today and have this same issue. The leds are way brighter then the incans so I wanna keep them. Even at the dim level they are a little distracting at night so I'm gonna use one of the suggested methods above to make them go out completely. Not sure what...- fishyx

I'm gonna use one of the earlier suggestions to make them go completely out while driving cuz even at that dim level they are still kind of distracting at night. Not exactly...- fishyx

Well, it looks to me as if the PCV valve is shot. After cleaning it, I noticed that I could blow air through it from both sides which I assume is not good. Even when I did get the ball to seal lots of air was still getting through. Gonna install the new one and monitor oil consumption. Like...- fishyx

2002 3.7 not sure of the mileage. No leaks and no smoke from exhaust. I'm guessing I just lost at least 2 quarts in 700 miles after a fresh oil change!!!! Just pulled the PCV & lines and there seems to be fresh oil in them but they were not clogged and the valve rattles. I will be replacing...- fishyx

Site hacked?
Anyone have problems with virusus yesterday? Everytime I tried to log in to this site my Chromebook would lock up with a crazy security message. It only happened with this site. I'm using my tablet right now cuz I'm affraid to try the Chromer again.- fishyx
