    CV boot trouble

Sounds like something might be rubbing and cutting the boot. Post a picture.

    Transfer case position indicator

The light will just not come on at all. I've done it with mine before.

BUYER BEWARE of the Rock Krawler kit

The Frankenlift sits taller than Rusty's lift. I've put several of each on. The Frankenlift uses a the HD Old Man Emu 1.5" spring an 1.5" spacer in the front. That is why most people get about 3" Rusty's has a slightly taller spring but doesnt use any spacers. If you tighted the clamp...

BUYER BEWARE of the Rock Krawler kit

For most people it actually gives about 3-3.25" I've installed 2 of them myself and both gave about 3-3.25" Plenty of other people have similar experience. They just say 2.5" to keep people from panicking about lifting a KJ too high. You can get up to 3+" on Rusty's kit with bit of clevis...

    Powertrax

It does have some quirks though. It will make some noise. Like a pop or click when making a turn. It's barely noticeable to me, however to some it too much to handle. There is also an increase in drive line slack. It's not alot, similar to the increased slack you often experience when...

The Frankenlift will easily get you 3"

    Rocky Road

The OTT kit has been re-named the Budget Lift. Same thing thought. There other stuff is supposedly good. Some complain about customer service. I've ordered a few things from them and never had a complaint.

    Lift Kit?

245/75R16 is what most people run and are happy with. It will rub a little but nothing just a little trimming or heat gun can't fix.

    ESP and traction control disabling

In the WK's you can hold the bottom down for 5 seconds to completely disable it.

yellow sludge in oil fill cap

I've seen more than that on mine and it is still running fine. As long as it is not in the engine its probably fine. The plastic fill tube is at the top of the engine so that is where it all collects, plus is doesn't get that hot. Also, check you PCV valve if you are concerned. It could...

    Lift Kit?

I'd personally recommend Rusty's Spring Lift. Best lift for the dollars. Includes all new springs (no spacers) and new Old Man Emu Struts, plus rear shocks. http://rustysoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product_Code=KJSS&Category_Code=sus_kj_kit

    Lift Kit?

Just make sure to stay away from the "Rocky Road 2.5" budget lift system " Rusty's spacer/budget lift is the same. However, Rusty's Spring kit is an excellent lift Rusty's , RRO, and Terflex spacer lifts are all OTT lifts and cause problems with the ball joints and struts. It's know...

    Why I need new tires...

Nope it was too muddy to make it up. Supprizing because last time it was raining, and this time it wasn't but there was more mud. I think anything but a bogger or tractor tire would have had the same fate in the mud I was in. Mud just sucks. I was trying to back down and around the tree...

    ESP video

I see what you mean, he never tries to correct, just lets it keep sliding. He need to turn into the skid. Plus he takes the course a little faster. ESP does make a difference, but that is exaggerated a bit by poor driving on the ESP off side.

    Making a 2wd Liberty 4wd

It would cost alot. Hardest thing would be the tail on 2wd vs 4wd transmission is different. Other than that it wouldn't be that bad if you could get all the parts from a salvage yard. New drive shafts, t-case w/ linkage, cv shafts, front axle, hub bearings and spindes are the same though...

Drilling holes in pinch seam.. Rust??

The money you save on gas from 250lbs lighter on a 4k+ Jeep is probably barely a dollar a year. You could probably save more money on gas by driving with a lighter foot and slowing down by about 1mph on the highway. I do swap out MT/Rs for fourwheeling because they wear out fast and are...

New Frankenlift, Found Wheels I Like

Not sure, but it sounds too wide. I'd stick with a 16x8, with 5" backspacing. That is as large as I would go.

    daystar combo lift opinions?

The OTT spacer is only 3/8" which is not enough to cause a problem. The OTT spacer that cause problems is about 1.5" Not sure about the 2.5 and 2.125.. sounds like just some mixed up numbers. He probably bought some new shocks and is selling them with the kit also. The kit looks fine...

    daystar combo lift opinions?

In the front the combo lift consist of poly-spacers and top strut plate. In the rear it is just poly-spacers. RRO is the one that sells the kit. They probably use Daystar spacer for the poly-spacers or maybe it just the box it was sent in. The picture looks just like the RRO combo lift.
