    Next Liberty Diesel?

I've recently discovered that Cummins is developing a 2.8 litre in-line 4 cylinder, alongside the 4.2 V-6 and 5.6 V-8. Here's hoping that this little buggar will be offered in the 2010 (2009?) Liberty (and Nitro?). I'd sure rather have a Cummins under the hood than an updated version of the VM...

    Dino vs Synthetic

Group III lube base oils are mineral oils (or "conventional") oils - if that's what you mean by "dino". Group I, II and III oils all start with crude. The differences are essentially in the processing. Group IV (PAO) oils can be synthesized from damn near anything containing hydrocarbons, but...

    Dino vs Synthetic

In all honesty, I'm not certain if Mobil 1 is formulated from a Group III or Group IV (PAO) base. (I'm sure that ExxonMobil would say that that is proprietary information.) Given the very minor differences beween Group III (especially Group III+) and Group IV (PAO) lube base oils, though, I...

    OTIS Accuracy

Are you talking US or Canadian dollars? And are you converting Imperial gallons to US gallons? (Just playing devil's advocate. Any way you cut it, it's a bunch of damn bucks!)

    Mileage Analysis

You need to re-check your facts there, sport. "Royal Dutch" (or Shell Oil Products, U.S.) does not, in any way, own British Petroleum ("BP") nor do they own "Texico"(sic) (TEXACO is a registered brand of Chevron Products, USA) nor do they own Exxon (which is a brand of ExxonMobil). As to the...

It's here. 2008 Jeep Liberty "KK" - Pics and Specs

Maybe in 2009 (or 2010) if they return to a diesel option (hopefully Cummins' upcoming 4.2 V6).

    Torque Specs

Remember that "80-100" is an example of a "compound torque". What they're saying is to torque all 5 lugs, in the proper sequence, to 80 ft lbs and then re-torque all 5 to 100 ft lbs.

The Official "My Gas Mileage Sucks" Thread

I think that you'll have better luck dividing the number of miles driven by the number of gallons.

    Additional key fob

I have a 2007. I programmed both a non-remote key and a remote key by following the instructions in the owner's manual with no problems. (As an aside, I did make the mistake of first buying a remote key which one or two numbers different on the back. That one would not work.)

    Additional key fob

Beats me why people are having so much trouble. Like you, I programmed a non-remote key (as well as a remote key) for both our '05 and for our '07. It's just a matter of following the instructions.

    Additional key fob

One way or the other, you've got to have an incorrect key which you're trying to program. You're following the instructions correctly, and the vehicle is giving you the right feedback. It has to be something about that new key.

    new member... 1st question.

You must both have glitches of some sort. I've had an '03, and '05, and now have an '07, and the lights have worked just fine on all three of them.

    Additional key fob

That's strange, for sure. If all three keys have good batteries, and all the numbers on all three match, the instructions should work fine. Just for grins, try reversing the order in which you insert the two programmed keys. As we all know, goofy things sometime happen with computers.

    Additional key fob

The programming instructions in the owner's manual work like a champ IF you have the correct key. I bought one off eBay which was just one digit off on one of those numbers on the back and it wouldn't program. I purchased a second one (which had all the correct numbers) and the programming...

    Im getting a Magnaflow

Forgive a silly question, but just what is it that a "Magnaflow" is supposed to do, anyway? Does it improve performance and/or gas mileage or is it just some sort of perceived "sound enhancement"?
