    Just went through the same things two weeks ago. Had to replace the battery pack it wasn't putting enough amps out. Jump it to another vehicle. If it starts replace both.

    Check the battery first, sounds like a drained or dead cell. You usually have some warning when a starter or selenoid going bad. My KJ is notorious for eating batteries.

    I am in the same boat. I was going to trade her in but decided to keep it and fix her up. Not what you are planning but to set it up for towing when need be and adding racks for carrying items. I also have Subarus '14 Forester Touring and '15 Legacy 3.6r Limited.
