UPDATE: To remove oil pressure sensor use a 1/2" Drive ratchet, 5" extension, and 1 1/16" deep well socket.
Oil pressure sensor is located 2" above oil filter.
Replacement available at NAPA Auto Parts.
For easiest access to sensor, remove cooling fan, and drain engine oil to avoid it spilling...
So my oil pressure sensor's been acting up and I finally decided to remove and replace it. Problem is I have no idea what tool to use to get it out, or how to access it conveniently. I currently have it up on stands with the fan removed but more access would be great.
My biggest concern however...
Hey guys I found a Mopar 11" blade on eBay for just under $8 + shipping.
Might this fit?

Stopped by Ace earlier today, found the 8ft x 1" diameter square tubing for $20. Everything else was there too except the insulation but I think I might have some laying around in the basement. So this is definitely my Saturday project :)
Sweet! Thanks for the info.
I'm planning on trying this out tomorrow, since crossbars are always useful.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the caps for the aluminum bars?
Again, thanks for the write-up and I'll try to get and post some pics after I'm done tomorrow! :D
What got me wondering is that I found a used one in good condition on Craigslist in Seattle for $250 from a guy willing to ship. Ad has been removed however.
Thanks for the pic and link Tony!
I tried finding it myself before but no luck.
That does look really bad! Definitely going to wait until I find a bumper that fits me (05+)
Thanks for the help guys!!
So it's definitely not a good idea?
I'm thinking I might be able to get an OME suspension before the ARB bumper. However, I know that with an ARB bumper i would need HD coils up front. So I was wondering if there are any dangers in running HD coils up front without the ARB bumper installed yet...
I've been searching for an ARB bumper for quite some time now, and I was wondering what is the difference between the 02-04 bumper and the 05+ version (aside from the extra $200 the newer one costs).
Has anybody tried to mount the older bumpers on a 05+ KJ??
Also, if I were to...
No I didn't replace the calipers, but I'm not sure when the brake fluid was last changed or the system bled. I bought the jeep @ 23,000 miles and it currently has just over 30,000.
I can assume that the previous owner was not one to maintain the brakes in any way so I'm thinking putting some...
Cleaned them off well with break cleaner. Did the whole break in routine too.
As for bleeding well i bled the front wheels but not the back, since i didn't replace the back. Could that be the problem?
And yes the pedal does feel squishy...
So today I finally got around to doing my brakes. Anytime I touched them ever so slightly at speeds over 50mph, my steering wheel would shake violently... (attn)
I managed to get a hold of 4 brand new Duralast rotors and Performance Friction Brakes Carbon-Metallic pads all for $80 plus a...
I've been looking on eBay and Craigslist. Nothing at the moment, except a used one for $250 with no mounting hardware. I'm assuming fabricating those yourself wouldn't be a huge problem, but of course this bumper is in Washington...
I've noticed ARB bull bars/bumpers are pretty widely accepted around here, but I was wondering where i could get one without paying the $1000 or so. A used one possibly? Craigslist?
Hello everybody. I've been reading around the forum for quite some time now, and would first off love to thank everybody for the tons of great advice here. I'm from the edges of Chicago IL and unfortunately not too many people here appreciate their KJs... I just recently got mine and the upgrade...
