Got an RB1. Can I mod it?

Take a look at the bottom of this page: http://www.wjjeeps.com/nav.htm It is possible to play DVDs on it, but it looks like its an expensive route to take. It also seems like it'd be a great way to get into an accident.

    RB1 Nav. radio review

Good. I find that all the "security" features in today's cars really don't deter theft, but rather just annoy the rightful owner (like the crazy, large, "security" key my Liberty came with that costs over $100 to copy if I loose it).

    RB1 Nav. radio review

Do you know if the Mopar/Chrysler radios are they type that require a dealer to "activate" after install? I had a Saturn years back, and when I had the cassette radio swapped for a CD, the dealer had to activate the new install, since Saturn radios "locked" once they were disconnected from a...

    The Little Things

I just found this out today (by accident)! Very cool little secret.

Back from my first road trip ...

We actually did discuss that strike plate. Although I don't remember him saying that some models didn't have it. I may be seeing him again soon, I'll ask.

Back from my first road trip ...

I don't think he'd be too insterested right now. He just got a new computer, and is learning the ins and outs (that's why I went to visit him, to help him get started). I'll mention it in a few months after he gets used to using his computer.

    Rear Air Deflector Install

I was thinking of getting one of these rear air deflectors to help keep the back window a little cleaner while driving, but was concerned that it requires holes to be drilled into the roof. Anyone install one of these before? Any leaking problems? Here's the item...

    Over Drive

Can someone explain when to use and not use the O/D feature? I've never had a vehicle with it before. It seems when I turn if off, the engine works harder (higher RPMs).

Back from my first road trip ...

My uncle was in charge of designing the glass for the Liberty (windshield, windows, etc.). In a prototype, the back window was straight along the bottom. This cleared the rear-mounted spare tire, but barely. It was approved, and molds were made for production. It was then discovered that if...

    RB1 Nav. radio review

A Sirius Question ... Thinking of doing the same thing once I get my tax refund ... Did you have a Sirius system in your Jeep when you made the switch? Does the new RB1 unit integrate flawlessly with an OEM Sirius receiver, or does it require additional parts? Does the RB1 installed into a...

HOW TO: Install a GPS antenna in an '04 Jeep Liberty

The GPS antenna doesn't need to be "exposed" to the sky? It can be covered and still work? Is this where its intended to be mounted?

Back from my first road trip ...

Just got back from my first [semi-]long roadtrip in my new Renegade. I went to visit my uncle outside Toledo (the uncle, if you'll remember, who's the retired Chrysler manager who got me the employee price discount on my Jeep). The trip from the Pittsburgh area to his place was about 200...

    Clicky seatbelt

Anyone else's KJ do this? My seatbelt "clicks" where the driver's seatbelt attaches to the frame between the front door and back door. This is rather annoying, since this is right next to my left ear. It clicks when it moves. So, when you're driving and you reposition yourself in the seat...

    gas miliage

KJ vs XJ Curious, how will my new '05 Liberty compare to my old '00 Cherokee on gas mileage? I was getting between 14 and 17 mpg on my Cherokee.

    Fog Light Guards

Do you think this mesh guard would fit on the '05 Renegade fog lights? Look here ... (Performance Parts has them $20 cheaper, BTW.) If not, anyone have another suggestion? I think they'd look cool on the lights.
