    Meguiar's Full Recommendation list....

Cool feature, but I don't see a claybar or anything to polish the paint before applying wax, unless that is a process done on a regular basis, then I would understand not polishing before waxing.

    What does trail rated mean?

http://www.jeep.com/en/4x4/trail_rated/ That is what Jeep defines "Trail Rated" as. Basically, it means it passes certain expectations Jeep has set for their vehicles offroad. IMO, it's more of a marketing gimmick.

    Its inpection time....

The only inspection they do here is emissions testing, which now consists of plugging your car into an OBD II scanner and then charging you $30 for that "service".

AT tires for 17 inch wheels?

What size are you looking for again? I've always had 16" rims on my KJ, so am not familiar with what fits on the 17's (mostly regarding width). If I am looking at the right size, Pirelli makes a Scorpion ATR in 235/65R17. Great tires.

    jack stands vs ramps

Here's some cool ones I found at Northern Tool. I would usually go Craftsman, but the highest rating they have listed on their website is 3 tons. I also tried to check Snap-On (just becuase Snap-On rocks imo), but their website was slow today...

    New Chrysler Recall: Liberty '02 - '03

Yeah, I typed in my VIN on the Jeep website and also came up with nothing right now. Looks like it will still be some time.

    Maintenance Advice

18k is very low. Personally, I would not bother with the plugs at that low of mileage unless you just feel like wrenching on the Jeep. Assuming you have kept up on all other scheduled maintenance, Schedule B in the manual just recommends an oil change and ball joint inspection at 18k and 21k miles.

    Chrysler Reveals New V6 Engine

Looks like you would be right. The power output ratings on the 3.7L Powertech are listed between 800 and 1000 rpm lower than those listed on the Pentastar. However, I have to say, so far all of our first year vehicles have ended up being good decisions. For that reason, my Jeep has the 45RFE...

Good call. I missed that and just picked up on the part where they claim to not see anything. My bad.

    Fiat Threatens To End Negotiations

http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/transportation/fiat-threatens-walk-away-chrysler-report/ Personally, I don't blame Fiat. Maybe this will make the union people realize they are grossly overpaid for glorified factory workers. Supply and demand. However, I hope it works out as...

    Clay Bar

ScratchX also works well for light trail rash. Polish should with the correct procedures, but wax will not remove it.

at the dealer with "mystery" clunk?

The play in the wheel from what I've heard is one of the biggest signs that the ball joints are failing. The vibration at speed would probably be caused by that play. I would take the Jeep into the dealer and if they say nothing is wrong, get corporate on the phone while you are there. That is a...

Sounds like ball joints to me as well and it is absolutely critical to get those replaced as soon as possible!

    Clay Bar and Wax

The NXT 2.0 is worth the money. I did a comparison between the NXT 2.0 and a high quality carnuba paste wax ($30 for 8 oz, so not the best available, but not cheap) on our vehicles over time and the NXT 2.0 works spectacularly. It also beads up water nicely. I would totally recommend it. Oh...

    Clay Bar and Wax

That looks great! It's virtually impossible to ruin your paint with a claybar. You can leave nasty residue that's a PITA to remove, but no need to fear it as long as you follow the correct procedure. Oh, and you'll be even more impressed if you move past Turtle Wax! :p:D

Would you buy your KJ again???

At least in AZ, I've been starting to notice that is less the case now then it was six months ago. I think as the Liberty has aged, guys have realized they can get those cheap with 4Lo now and the women have moved on bigger and better things....
