Fiat Threatens To End Negotiations

Personally, I don't blame Fiat. Maybe this will make the union people realize they are grossly overpaid for glorified factory workers. Supply and demand. However, I hope it works out as I really wanted Alfa Romeo to come back stateside.

And the plot thickens. News sources are saying Fiat wants to buy out Opel, which is currently owned by General Motors. Based on the enthusiasm with which Fiat is approaching this Opel deal, I'm thinking one of two things could happen.
1.) Fiat purchases Opel and Chrysler, becoming one of the largest global automakers.
2.) Fiat purchases Opel, leaving Chrysler to die and sort itself out somehow.
