    Ouch - T-Boned...

Good to hear that you and the other driver came out unscathed. I wish my Pathfinder had looked that good when the drunk idiot ran a stop sign and I t-boned him in a 40mph zone a few years back  As for the tracking I would hazard a guess that the uniframe is probably tweaked, most likely...

    Woodie kit

From the 2001 SEMA show: Not a big fan but it wouldn't be on my Jeep so it doesn't really matter.

    Low Beams Don't Work!

Looks like he has already done thw switch: If the wires are good (no signs of heat damage to the insulation, nicks, cuts), the relay has been checked, fuses and bulbs replaced then it is probably time to bite the bullet and go to a mechanic. As mentioned finding electrical issues can be a...

    Low Beams Don't Work!

There is a relay, and it is located on the back side of the junction block (which is where the fuse block is located). Here is a diagram of where it is: The area outlined in blue is the fuse block that you see when you remove the cover from the end of the dash on the driver's side, and the...

Anyone interested in a new how-to

Looking at my FSM it doesn't seem that you would need to do all of that - the only item it says needs to be removed is the front grille, then you should be able to access the headlamp unit to remove it. PM inbound.

    Garmin Jeep Liberty Icon

No idea. I haven't delved into what the TomToms use on their display (image type, 2D/3D, etc). you might try the forums on www.gpspassion.com to see if there is info on making custom car icons. I can say that I've seen a Jeep Liberty icon for TT but from what I remember it was simply a view...

    Wiring my hella 500

Just to be clear you are talking about the Hella 500 driving lights, right? I have my 500s wired as shown in the diagram, the only change I made was that I did not put a switch in the system so the ONLY time they will come on is with the high beams which makes sense as they are designed to...

    Cylinder Numbers

It's not too uncommon to get a bad plug in a set - I bought six when I changed mine a couple of months ago and the one I put in #5 was buggered so I put one of the old ones back in until I could go to the store and buy a replacement. At least they're cheaper than a new coil

    Liberty Tow hook install

I've read of someone using the rear axle as a last resort but would NOT recommend it, too great a chance of messing up the axles, axle housings or several other items. As mentioned best bet for the rear is either the factory tow hook or a shackle insert if you have a receiver hitch; for the...

    U-Haul Hitch

I bought and installed a U-haul class III hitch and it fit just fine - all the holes lined up and the hardware was the proper size/thread. They could have written the number down wrong when they went to the storeroom to get it, the guy could be dyslexic, or it could have been labeled wrong...

    03 Jeep KJ Dies

Been there done that twice now - definitely sounds like the battery is going out (or has gone out and won't return). I'm running a battery I picked up at Autozone, already had to replace it once but it was under warranty. When this one dies I'll spring for something better.

    Bumpers swiped, hood keyed.

The bumpers I could live; I wouldn't like it but I could live with it. The keying is deliberate and would have me watching a hidden camera until the lowlife came back for another try, then he'd get to see how much lead it takes to fill a scumbag! I seriously despise people who ruin...

    Hella 500's mounting question?

Yep, it's one of the first mods I did to the Jeep: It's easier to mount them to the '02-'04 front bumpers than it is on the '05+ model front bumpers. If you're planning on drilling thru the bumper here is a pic with some dimensions (because of the angle the 3 1/2" measurement looks shorter...

Retrofit Serpentine belt for A.C. Bypass

Here is a thread over on LOST that covers this topic. He gives a size for a non-AC belt, just be sure you check the routing on the non-AC belt since it appears to differ from the regular version.

    Site running slow

I've noticed over the past week or so that the site has been slowing down - takes more time to refresh a thread after posting, occasionally the site seems to hang and I have to close the tab and reopen it to the main page to get back in (in Firefox). Anyone else noticed any of these problems...
