That is some useful info there tom. I did not know they made those. where I live- Israel, you cant get the diff mounts any more and i will order me a set of those ASAP. I do have their steering rack bushes and that solved me a whole lot of hassle. thanx again
Hello- long time since last post
My front end has been making noises under cornering. most rubber parts were replaced to poliurithane long ago, and after lots of searching it came down to my anti roll bar mounts- or as u call them "sway bar links". the rubber is shot. mine are JBA extended...
hey guys.
strange problem- my passenger window (front) stopped working. it will go up and down very slowly and sometimes- not move at all.
at first i thought it was bad wiring- or a tired window motor - but then i noticed that if i shut off the engine and re start- it works fine- up and down...
thanx man- i am celebrating 2 years of facebook sobriety...lol. i left all the "where can i fit angry eyes to my jeep" groups and i just go into one or 2 overlanding groups.
I did not know you could replace the studs. never thought about it. how silly of me- its just four studs that i can get...
hello. running an ausie locker on the rear and DTT on the front. If you seriously intend to go offroad- and i do mean seriously-
a limited slip will only get you so far. especially if you are into rock crawling. if its snow and mud and light stuff- a DTT will be just fine.
I have had...
hey tom- how have you been?
my english is not the best as far as tech stuff.....what do you mean longer bolts for the carrier? do you mean the studs that attach it to the door?
It's the magic of creation- that is how new jeeps are conceived.
LOL- personally i did not remove mine- until a rock bent those out of shape. then i did. could not tell a difference
hello guys.
the time has come for some 265/75s. i always change the spare as well- as i did today. i already converted my 2006 to a US spec spare tire carrier (euro version will only hold a factory size tire cause if the way it is built) - but the 265 rubs on the bumper (euro bumper- it is not...
hello- thanx for the advice. we dont have many broken up liberty's- most folks here drive wranglers. I actually did quite a bit of work in cape town- i have seen quite a few liberty's with "mickey mouse" roof lights. I found the screw- it is an "export wheel nut"- 06036303AA.
thanx!
hello
recently i had to change my tires- and the shop did a bad job mounting the spare- they ruined the threads. they were super nice and they want to pay for new lug nuts and all that.
an american kj has a different spare tire mount than a euro kj- while american kj's have the spare just...
hello.
i keep getting a "liftgate open" message even when my rear cargo door is closed and jeep is fully locked.so the sensor is probably broken.
however i can not find the specific sensor for sale. any amazon/ebay links?
2006 kj
hello. my kj is set up as an overlander-and today i really loaded for a trip. coolers...sleeping bags....beer......beer....beer..... the rear door needed some muscle to close properly- and i guess something hit the latch of the rear door window. and the rear glass hatch did not close. In have...
thax-i alredy installed a steering rack 1 month ago. re welded new steering rack mounts instead of the ones that came on the rack- for extra strength on the passenger side mount. AND did some more welding on the crosmember. the rack is sitting tight. we checked it for slack and it was ok. new...
hello.
for the past few months my 2006 has been pulling to the right. i have replaced my steering rack bushes- all other rubber parts are new. but its always the same- i will get an alignment at the shop. every bolt torqued to correct spec. kj goes straight. then after a few weeks it will start...
