Ok so update on this issue. Found an interesting solution. Pump the clutch pedal. If I pump it 3 times it goes back to being super smooth in all gears. Have to pump it for each individual shift though. What does this mean?
I'm no expert but I have heard of this before.
Its not just about that your hand is at the shifter, its about if you are actually resting weight on the shift knob. This can apply a small amount of pressure which can cause wear issues. My jeep came with this problem so I suspect the PO, who...
Thats exactly what happens. A small chip that you didn't notice at first but the defroster expands the glass and bam its a crack. if there are existing cracks defrosters will expand them..
And i have the same luck with windshields. If i replace it i will catch a rock the next week. So now if...
this weekend is not supposed to be nice but im going to go ahead and change the fluid anyways when I get a chance. if the problem persists i will look towards the slave cylinder. would the skid plate have to be removed even just to check the level then?
Do the skid plates need to come off? I have Mopar skids.
Gear oil? And a specific amount or fill it to the fill holes?
Been having a tough time getting into gear for some reason. Feels like I have to almost push the clutch through the floor. Don't know if this will help but thought it might.
I suspect the grabbers will do just fine for people that aren't worried about cutting sidewalls. If you are just an on road/gravel road/snow person they will be fine. If you really get into gnarly trails with loose rock there will probably be issues.
Im uneven side to side but both sides are also lower than they should be. with the parts I have on both sides should be minimum 3.25 of lift or 22.25 after settling in.
Ok so my OME lift story.
I went with 927/948 springs. .25" top plate. .357" clevis spacer. I should expect lift to be in the 3.5" range or 22.5" hub to fender measurement.
First install. Let everything settle in. DS hub to fender = 21.5" or 2.5" lift. PS hub to fender 22" or 3" of lift...
235/70/16 is also an OEM tire size. That's what came on my KJ. No issues with rubbing there unless you stock suspension is extremely sagged.
As for the grabbers. They have mixed reviews. Lots of guys say they love them. I personally have read bad things about the sidewalls. They cut too easily...
with JUST the shocks and springs you have ordered, no extra spacers on the front or isolators on the rear, you will achieve 2.5"of lift.
if you want to go just a hair higher. then on the rear you should have one EXTRA upper isolator per side (meaning a total of two upper isolators per side) and...
I wonder since I have two chipped keys if i would be able to program myself a flip out style key?? im guessing the flip out style started in 06? anyone know if an 06 key will work on earlier models?
sorry to threadjack
another thing to consider is that the need for 4.10 gears does not arise from lift height but rather tire size. it is also not a "need to have" but it is a "nice to have". again only if you are going with a larger than stock tire size. without 4.10 gears you will feel like you have lost a tiny...
