Possible engine swap on 05 liberty renegade

O2 sensors in pairs?
Depends, on southern cars I’ve never had much trouble removing O2 sensors as long as there was access to the sensor. 02' Liberty tail lights and dash cluster out! Pulling my hair out.
How did they power the tail lights individually? Have you tested the fuse block for power to these fuses? O2 sensors in pairs?
Get ngk brand. They are the oem. You don’t have to swap pairs unless you want to, bank 1 sensor 2 sounds like a down stream sensor. Personally I’d just replace the fault causing sensor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro- Conundrum2006

Yeah that wouldn’t have worked since it’s still be trying to spin the drive shaft. On my old XJ the way the rear drive shaft connected to the transfercase was a slip yoke. Front wheel drive That is if the transfer case is in one piece. And fuel lines are intact . My XJ did the same thing to me in the middle of the desert, took the shattered rear slip yoke and placed it back in the transfer to prevent any leaks. engine problems PLEASE HELP!
Don’t flush the engine! ATF flush may be different I haven’t tried it, normal flushes will just knock any built up crud lose and get caught up in the pan eventually blocking the oil pick up. Sorry to say the engine is about throw a rod or perhaps has dropped a valve shattering position. Unfortunately I can’t think of anything that would make such a loud noise and misfires while being a minor problem. Oil Pans Anyone?
Check higher on the motor for the oil leak, oil sender, valve covers, crank seal. Pan seals don’t usually go bad, although some pans can rust out . 05 Liberty engine replacement options
Easiest is any Chrysler 3.7 from 2005 to 2012, treat it like a long block swap and move over all the existing sensors and hardware like intake and oil pan. I found only a couple of sensors were different 2006 to 2012. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro- Conundrum2006

Ouch. Maybe it is the pcm. I knew someone who blew out the computer jumping off a strangers car. In general these PCM are pretty tough. But you have a unique circumstance with crossing the polarity.
