    Best Skid Plates

You can get the entire Mopar set for the price of one skid from anyone else. My have held up just fine, but I don't have much rockcrawling where I live.

    Snorkels

Snorkels aren't used for only water crossings. Primarily, they give the ultimate cold air induction and keep your intake out of the dust cloud made by other rigs better than any other system. In really dusty conditions on long treks you have to stay 1/2 to one mile back from the rig in front of...

Is a 3 ply sidewall really that important?

For what you want the Generals will be fine, I owned a set of the original ATs and got 70,000 miles out of them on my Dodge D-50 4X4 and trail rode more than you seem to be doing. They worked very good on the trails also.

    towing with a CRD

Tow with mine all the time, my boat is a bit over 2000 lbs on the trailer. Tow a two horse loaded trailer with two 1200 lb horses and gear for trail riding. Tow trailers in the fields and for firewood season. Tows great. I'd get brakes on your trailer and a brake controller to be safe...

    Sport models with sunroofs

My CRD Sport and the other Limited CRD in the lot at the time had sunroofs and 6 CD changers on them. I'm in the Pac N.W. USA. Have seen maybe a dozen others the last few years, but most don't have the sunroof. Really like mine, it's big and I see so much more great scenery when you can also...

    265/75-16 Tires???

Stock is 7 inch with 5 1/2 inches backpacing. No need to take the liner completely out with the 245/75 tires. Lots have no rubbing at all anywhere with 245/75s and a 2 1/2 inch lift. Some have to trim and bang the pinchweld, it appears to be an individual crapshoot.

    RRO Combo Kit - Shocks?

No one I know of has really faulted the RRO spring lift, all hat get them like them, though they soon seem to gravitate away from the rear shocks. The big problem has always been the OTT budget spacer lift, I know of very few who haven't had words on forums and discussions with RRO about this...

    Your tyre reccomendations

I'm surprised as the Nokian winter tires have a near cult following in Europe. In places like Vermont here where there is lots of snow the same thing. I got informed of the tires from some Vermont transplants that run the Vatiivas in the everything but snow on their Subaru and 3/4 ton Ford...

    7pin Non Mopar Hitch Wiring

You could also just wire your existing 4 wire harness to a 7 pin plug you buy at your neighborhhod NAPA for $12 or thereabouts and run your battery charging wire and hook up the controller wire for a few bucks more and be done with it in a hour or so. The 7 pin isn't rocket science, just a few...

    Your tyre reccomendations

I'm running Finnish Nokian Vatiivas on the street and during the winter. I figured the Finnish would have a handle on tires that worked all the time. I love the things, some of the lugs have 6 sipes in them instead of the usual 1 or 2, they stick like glue to any surface I've put them on except...

So...how many of you offroad your kj

Well, I could ask the same question of them. How many of the Wranglers on the road "really" see offroad? I see an awful lot of stockers and mall crawlers with pristine wheels and mud tires. Not a lick of mud, scrapes or puckerbush pinstriping. I see none of them pulling boats, horse/stock...

    User manual

I thought he was talking about the service manual when he started talking about 400+ pages my 2005 owners manuals are nowhere near that many pages.

    User manual

You can buy the manual in paper or CD form from Jeep. I have the 2005 manual which is missing some of the extras starting in 2006.

rubicon rims / bf goodrich t/a's on the liberty

If you aired down you should have had no problem with the stockers in the sand, mine worked fine on a CRD which is heavier. I run 245/70X16 Nokian Vatiivas now on stock wheels and they are far better in the sand or anywhere else. No rubbing. That size should also work with the Rubis. Trim, bend...

Looking For Suggestions (Upgrading Tires / Wheels On 2006 Liberty CRD)

Remember to watch your backspacing when ordering wheels, you have to have as close to the stock 5 1/2" as possible. Lots of wheels out there with 5 inch spacing, any more and you start smacking things that the stockers will run fine in. Why not just paint the stockers black?

    Is there a site to...

Your friend could get under the rig and read the tag on the rearend. He could also jack up the back and spin the tires and rear end to get his answers. This is not rocket science, if he can't handle this than the info would be a waste of time to him anyway IMO. Same with lots of other posts...

    Vehicle Setup

Look on the Jeep site. What they have now, short the ESP system, is probably what you have. All you have to do is count the shifts as the auto goes thru it's work to know which auto you have, they put both in, but mostly 4 speeds. There were a few 35 rear ends instead of the 8.25, but not many...

    Air Intake

I didn't see the 3.7 L engine we have listed there. It's because we have a good intake now that doesn't benefit from the changeover, it's been proven on the dyno and the seat of the pants. 4WD and SUV mag had an article on it just a few months back. Even with an aftermarket exhaust also added it...

    Your comments on these wheels

Most wheels come in RWD or FWD configurations, the front wheel drive configuration gives a backspacing similar or exactly like the stock wheels.

Don't see anyone not buying Toyota pickups because of ball joints. They are on recall too.
