    After-market Upper Control Arm

I am looking for advise on a good Upper Control Arm replacement. I checkled out Jeepin by Al's control arm. Any other good one's to consider? I know the OEMs rub the spring when lifted. The rubber boot over the ball joint of my OEM upper control arm on the driver side has separated. I found a...

    Jeep-I-Joe's 02' 4x4 Liberty Limited (Black)

Thanks, I'll let you know how I like the tires after 3k miles. Now, if I can just figure uot how to calibrate the speedometer myself. Everyone says the dealership can do it. I like to do stuff myself though. That's part of the Zen of Jeep ownership.screwy.gif

New Tires I just had my new 245/70R16 General Grabber AT2's put on. Better stance. I still need the odomoter reset (pinion point reset). Until then, I'll drive slower.

    Fix window actuator for free.

I just fixed my rear driver window actuator for free. Well virtually for free. it cost me 18 inches of bailing wire. But, it is now fully funcional. I removed the actuator. Sheared the pin holding the screw guided-turn in place. Opened the press tabs also holding the guided-turn in place...

    Spark Plug Gap Confussion?

I checked the plugs that the dealer installed during the tune-up. I too thought NKGs came gapped at .040. Even though this is the case, I have always been in the habit of checking the gap when I install. If the technician had been in the same habit, he would have realized that these NKGs were...

    5W-30 vs 5W-20

It really isn't that difficult. #-o The owner’s manual has a friggin chart telling you which oil to use in which temperature range with the 3.7L. (5W-30 or 10W-30) The manual's and recommendations may be different in Canada being it gets so darn cold up there. Is that the case?

It's good to hear that the ignition is hot. Does it handle a miltiple electrode well?

    Spark Plug Gap Confussion?

I'm sure they didn't break it down like I would. They probably sprayed some throttle body cleaner and moved on. I'm not going to take it back to them. I'm going to get in there and do it right. The only way to make sure it is done right is to do it myself.

    Spark Plug Gap Confussion?

I had the dealer do a tune-up when I had her checked out. The idle is not as smoth as I would like. I am really trying to smooth out the idle. Has anyone tried a gap tighter than 0.040?

    Spark Plug Gap Confussion?

On the hood I see the spark plug gap as 0.040. Haynes states 0.045. I've had cars and trucks that perform better at gaps much different than the recomended gap setting. Does anyone know the optimum gap for the 3.7 Liter? Please, don't spin off into another copper vs. platinum tiraid.(argue)

    chirp beep

Can you recreate it by simply locking the doors? Or is it only when it locks at the 15mph? I don't know, but, could it be your locking mechanism?
