I surprised you went with the 3.6 vs the hemi. I love the hemi and you can't beat the power, and it also helps to build more heat in the tires for a nice long smokey burn out. I know in my ram 1500 I can burn rubber as long as I want, but typically stop in third gear.
Its one of those parts that is only for the export market. I really wanted rear fog lights, but the cost to get the oem lights was extremely expensive to say the least. So I just modified the rear light housing and fitting bulbs in it. If you are interested in the export rear tailgate licence...
If you want a better alternative to the ARB and the true trac try the eaton electronic locker. it costs less then the ARB and you have no air lines to run, just 2 wires from the differential to a switch.
You need to replace the DRL relay as it switches very fast to regulate the voltage going to the high beam filament. and all that switching wears on the relay over time. Make sure you get the DRL relay, not a normal high beam relay. The DRL relay is a solid state relay.
Don't get a 2012 or new engine due to engineering flaws in the heads, they have coolant leaks and other problems as stated by Chrysler engineers. basically they tried to make the 3.7 better and failed.
I would suggest getting a motor from a 2007 liberty and just swapping over the sensors and intake manifold. In 2007 they changed the cam profile for a better idle and they also increased the compression ration slightly as well.
Sounds like 2 leaky valve cover gaskets. My jeep had leaky valve cover gaskets as well, nothing wakes you up more then smelling burning oil in the morning.
I'd install a new alternator, and at the same time clean the engine grounds and all grounds you can find off the battery. On my jeep I have tons of grounds and it makes a world of a difference in charging voltage as well.
The jeep is mostly fixed from the accident, but still need to have some more body work done, I need to have some patches welded into the rockers and I also need the rust on the doors treated. Even though its no longer my daily driver the jeep is still my favorite vehicle to drive.
