    I bought a 2004 liberty with what I thought was a blown head gasket for $300, and when I tore the head off it looks like the piston was partially melted along with the head on both sides cylinder 1 and cylinder 2.

    I would buy it back for sure. It doesn't look like you have any major damage at all. In fact your damage looks like mostly plastic damage and that stuff is cheap. The main core support looks fine.

    I would swap the manifolds for a set of headers and then you can say bye bye to the cast manifolds.

    First off you have the incorrect clutch fan. The stock clutch fan is 11 blade white plastic. Secondly I would just buy a new fan clutch off of rockauto.

    The blue sense wire is not needed just put a wire nut with some electrical tape on the end of the wire.

    I would bore out the throttle body, don't touch the throttle plate and it will improve throttle response. I would also insulate the intake this includes the intake box as well.     Welcome! Most likely the noise is either the axle bearings or the pinion bearing. I would replace the axle bearings and see how it goes from there.

    What ever you do don't buy a napa radiator they are junk. The junky napa radiators almost cost my family 2 engines, that would be the one in my jeep and one in my brothers Mitsubishi.
