    Dreaded P0300 code

Sounds to me like you really need to get a fuel pressure reading when it's acting up. Most of what you're describing sounds like a fuel issue, but I don't know why the fuel system (or anything else for that matter) would care how fast you're going.

    P0304 cyliner 4 misfire 2006 kj 3.7L

Some brands are more reliable than others, but Chevy probably isn't one of them. I remember how much "fun" I had constantly working on a '95 Blazer and '03 TrailBlazer, and neither of which had 150K when they were dumped. Maintenance matters quite a bit, but it comes down to luck of the...

    P0304 cyliner 4 misfire 2006 kj 3.7L

Well crap, that's no good. Was it ever overheated? How many miles on it?

    P0304 cyliner 4 misfire 2006 kj 3.7L

Well, you through a lot of parts at it. That's good for ruling out the components themselves, but not wiring, which can also be an issue. How does it run, particularly under throttle? Does it ever feel sluggish? The easy way to rule out the converter is to remove the oxygen sensors and taken...

Grinding in the front when in 4x4

When the wheels are straight, the halfshaft CV joints aren't doing much of anything. The joints work when they are transmitting power at an angle, otherwise they behave like a straight shaft. it's relatively common for the boot to tear on the rearward driveshaft CV joint, and this joint is...

    P0304 cyliner 4 misfire 2006 kj 3.7L

Can you clarify some of the steps you've used to rule out the above components? Did you physically swap them all to an adjacent cylinder and have the misfire stay on number 4? I had a heck of a time with an intermittent misfire on my boat motor, and it turned out to be an internal failure of...

    Rear passenger wheel issues

That doesn't make sense to me, I've never heard of clanking or grinding being caused by a rotor gouge. Uneven pad wearing for sure, but I don't see how it could clank. I'm guessing there's something still stuck in there that you couldn't see. Does it happen only when braking, or whenever...

Jeep KJ Liberty -Gates Tensioner and Belt !

Maybe, but there are a LOT of things that can leave you stranded. I lost a brake line once, and a radiator another time. Should I change all the brake lines and radiators at certain intervals as well? Of course opinions are like ********, and this is just my two cents. Perhaps I'll be...

Jeep KJ Liberty -Gates Tensioner and Belt !

I'm a moderator on another forum, and we have a longtime member who owned an airport shuttle service that ran lots of miles. One of his vans ran 430,000 miles on a Dayco belt. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1376312-2006-high-mile-spark-plugs-and-belt.html After reading that a few years...

Jeep KJ Liberty -Gates Tensioner and Belt !

Very interesting thread, and I love how you've updated with a 4-year-review. My only comment is that "different" isn't synonymous with "worse". The new belt is made differently, but how do you know it won't last even longer than the factory one that your Jeep was assembled with?

    The well known speedometer issues.

Are they well-known? Now you got me curious! New to the KJ platform. I can help you with wiring diagrams if you like. Send me an email at [email protected] if interested.

    Pulsating Brakes

From the sounds of your post, I don't think there's anything wrong with the rotors. This stuck out to me, though: So the issue happened when you were riding the brakes down a long hill? If so, this is one of the worst things you can do to your brakes, and can make stopping at the end...

    2002 dropped valve

Interesting, this is something I hadn’t heard of before buying mine. Would my ‘04 be susceptible to this as well?

    2007 Liberty Rear Bearings Replacement

Holy crap! $2,800 to replace bearings? There's no reason to replace bearings that haven't failed, which ones are they trying to replace? The rear wheel bearings can be done in less than two hours, even if you're learning as you go. You'll need a slide hammer, but those can be rented from...

Kinda sounds like something to do with your transfer case. Have you tried the 4WD?

    On The Road Problems

Sounds like you have a few things going on. The abnormal tire wear is almost certainly an alignment problem, but the rest is tough to figure based on what you describe. Does it run and drive normally? Was the T-case always put into neutral before towing it?

HELP NEEDED BAD ENGINE 2005 LiBERTY

Good info Vgirl, just wanted to mention a couple things. Different labor operation, the labor guide shows 17.7 hours for engine replacement with a short block, including transfer of parts. That means disassembling the old engine and transferring timing gear and heads, which takes lots of...

Leak sending coolant around engine bay in straight line; Water pump?

Sounds to me like he may have not gotten all the air out of the system. It's not uncommon, and the fact that the level decreased and is responding when you pinch the hose means you're probably fine. The service manual doesn't prescribe a special bleeding process.
