Replaced my radiator and did a quick visual inspection of the entire underside.
I found out the noise coming from my rear end when going over bumps was indeed my tri-link hitting the bracket, just as I thought.
Ill try to hit the junkyards in Atlanta tomorrow while my wife shops and see what...
Thanks tjkj. It seems like a good idea to me. Of course that would be a huge technical and manufacturing deal, but just a dream that some company would start manufacturing something like this to bolt on to smaller vehicles that use IFS.
So i was eyeballing my buddy's Hummer, (also some of the military variants we may have around here) and noticed they use IFS.
They use portal geared hubs which lower the wheel away from the CV shaft, maintaining a better cv angle while giving more ground clearance.
I'm just brainstorming...
I dont see how torque would be affected at all by using an extension unless the extension was twisting. In that case the difference between tight and almost tight would surely be a minuscule amount of actual turn on the bolt.
That seems expensive to me but I'm a cheap bastard. It should be a rather simple job if you did it yourself. About the same intensity as an oil change with a few more bolts.
That was getting to irritating for me. And it was getting in the way.... and I have to change the radiator so it would really get in the way. And i havent done anything to the jeep in a while so I had to get my fix.
My radiator has a crack (new one just came in today) It was leaking in the upper corner near the battery tray. Remember that as you are driving the leak will spray with airflow. I had antifreeze spraying all the way to my back firewall, all over the rack and pinion, and even on the back of my...
mostly worthless without a winch. Also I have just about the same things in my pieced together recovery bag for way less than half as much. I would just piece together what you need. Tri blade shovel is commonly called an E-tool and can be found at your local surplus store for cheap. I got...
X3 for crutchfield. I've used them a few times before. My 04 limited has infinity with amps. You said you had only one working speaker. Did you check the radio choke relay? My right side was cutting out for months over bumps. After doing everything but changing the speaker I played around...
I hope you got this fixed already. Mine did the same thing on the passenger front. The tube that holds the worm gear is broken. I tried many different fixes from glue and tape, to a coupling designed for pvc pipes, then coupling and glue. I ended up replacing the entire regulator with one i...
