Yea I considered using a cutting tool but was overly concerned about marring the surface that the o-ring seats in. All in all, was a pain in the ass to get out, but glad its done and that I didn't pay $350 for it!- Charlesthe2nd

You hit the nail on the head there. Impact wrenches used at the shop just tear them up. I was able to get the o-ring out. It was quite a task, enlisted my neighbor for help, asked the guys at napa, everyone was kind of stumped. Optima Yellow Top or...?
Batteries Plus doesn't carry a G34 in that brand that fits the Liberty. It wasn't a headache at all, slips right into the battery retention clip, and clears the hood just fine. I do have a dremel with metal cut wheels. Seems relatively dangerous to get up in there with that. I'm concerned with even marring the inside with the metal picks, let alone cutting through and making a gouge. If all else fails then I'll use the dremel. Thank you for the input.- Charlesthe2nd

I'm gonna go ahead and jump on this train of very interested KJ owners. This would be a great alternative to the ARB bumper, and really would open up a lot more bumper options for us.
