02 KJ 3.7LTiming Chain problem.....
If I'm right, I think you have to maintain tension on the timing chain once you remove the sprocket from the head or the automatic tensioner for the timing chain will ratchet out. The 4.7L has the same PCV routing, thus a similar TSB was put out. http://www.wkjeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk_2500208.pdf I couldn't find the TSB for the 3.7L, but you get the idea. You can see how the PCV valve was removed from the oil filler neck.- ShafferNY

Yep. It's from condensation. I'm not entirely convinced it's just from short trips though, at least not on the KJ. See. The PCV valve draws up warm crankcase air into the oil filler neck where it condenses and turns into that milky looking stuff as it mixes with the oil residue in the filler...- ShafferNY

Battery/Charging System
I think my next step would be to test the battery temp sensor, since it controls the charge rate(according to the FSM). This might explain the battery light illumination. If the sensor has failed, the PCM may not be getting the voltage it needs. It may be 'thinking' the battery temperature...- ShafferNY

Welding the pinch weld seem.
I know the accepted practice for dealing with the pinch weld is to beat it over and pound it flat. Since I'm not a fan of pinch welds, due to corrosion issues, has anyone welded their pinch weld seam?
