Randomly found this video on YouTube. It shows a side by side video of a vehicle running a snow covered slalom with and with out the ESP turned on. At first I thought the Jeep after the Nitro was a new KJ, but then I'm thinking more likely a Commander or Patriot. What do you all think...
A while back I took some pictures of a couple of KJs used at a local fire dept. http://jeepkj.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=38766&highlight=#38766
I have never seen them with their lights on, but it looks like that they use those strobes mounted in the front grille.
Wow, that is a huge list of units. On a conversion side note I wanted to add that I like to use google. For example just type in '40 psi to bar' and the google calculator will spit out "40 pounds per square inch = 2.75790292 bar". This is good for all kinds of conversions and calculations.
If...
Mine dose the same thing. It holds tight about 50% of the time (although near the very top of the lever) and then the other times it doesn't do a thing. I'm going to bring this up when I take it in for the LBJs.
I tap the brakes too to wake up people and tell them something is happening up ahead. If I'm really slowing down or almost stopping in a place where someone wouldn't expect it I'll flip the hazards on too.
I noticed some people talking about their commutes in "What did your KJ do today?". I thought it would be interesting to see what kinds of distances you drive your KJ to work.
I've got 60 miles roundtrip, 5 days a week. Mostly interstate getting about 20 mpg. I know there are MPG threads and...
Small fake carabiner clip
Piece of 8mm climbing rope tied in an figure eight
LED light
Jeep key fob
Jeep key and house keys
Sister's car key and house keys (she gets locked out a lot)
My KJ took me the 30 miles to work this morning. It met a new friend in the parking lot, someone has a new KJ sport the same color as mine, they parked nose to nose. Then is brought me the 30 miles back home.
Some people call them hills, others call them mountains. Here is a shot of downtown Asheville. The elevation here in town is about 2200 ft but about 30 miles northeast of here is Mount Mitchell at 6684 ft. Now Mitchell isn't technically in the asheville area or even the same county, but I was...
Literally!
This happened locally in Asheville. The story I got from the TV was that an older woman had just pulled into the parking spot and then lunged trough the building and into the doctor's waiting room. Here is the (very short) story from the local paper. The first think I thought when...
Asheville city has a white one too, I think it might be with the water service. I normally see it in the mornings in that construction area on 40. And then, someone over in Haywood county has a sign business. He has a white KJ with lots of yellow flashing lights (like a tow truck) that he uses...
I found this just the other day. Rolled down the two back windows on the highway and thought my eardrums were going to rupture. Seriously, it hurt. If you have not experienced what we are talking about try rolling down just the back windows while you are up at highway speeds. I doubt a visor...
I've used a blow dryer to remove decals before. It heats up the glue and peels right off. Not sure if it would have the same affect on the pin-stripping or not.
My Jeep List

Fog-light kit
New rubber (stock crapyears right now)

I think I'm going to order the skids, tow hooks and fog-lights from jparts.com this weekend...
