    Can anybody Identify this Part?

I originally thought that first piece looked like part of a spring.... now to figure out where it came from. Its look like a pretty stiff one too.

Uhm, When Tom mentioned stacking, I figured he meant the springs are getting worn out and the coils are starting to literally "stack" onto each other, correct me if I'm wrong Tom, know you've had to do it before...:o Most any lifts are going to net you 2" at least. You can do a "clevis lift" to...

    Can anybody Identify this Part?

I would inspect around the alternator, especially with the symptoms you are describing, sounds like alternator is trashed and you are trying to run the Libby on a almost dead battery. Even though it looks like an end to a coil spring or something. Where at under the vehicle was that piece...

I think I've seen that one running around. I bet there is something else under there beside stock, at least some rear spacers and maybe clevis lift. That front still seems to be setting up with the ARB on it. Hey, I work in Woodlawn, live in FF twp, feel free to contact me if ya need help or...

Spare tire cover. On or Off?

IMO, the cover is more for protecting the rubber than rim. Those UV rays cause the dry rot on tires.

    retreads and airing down

Not sure what lift Larry has on the red KJ, but he had to rip the inner wheel wells out in the parking lot before we went on the Devil's Staircase road rally, the were rubbing something aweful .

    retreads and airing down

I read a bunch on the retreads and all the discussions on lost/JeepJK, I'm 95%sure the new MT/R treads will go on my Tahoe when needed. From seeing the ones on Larry's jeep this past weekend ( pic below), they look like new produced tires, the quality is excellent. I agree with Tom, there are...

Help - need to find some odd bolts for running boards

Those are M bolts, mostly used on the front factory tow hooks. I thought most of the time, the running boards/rails were held on with "Nutzerts" that were in the frame rails. The nutzerts got through holes in the frame, then are like a rivet as they pull tight up against the inside of the frame...

    New Plugs???

SO you guys are telling us that those 100K plugs don't last 100K??? SHOCKED.gif :D rollinglaugh.gif I usually change mine out every 30K or so. I use the platinums in my Tahoe just cause it WILL run like crap without them, tried it. Not sure what I will put in Libby, probably off the shelf.

    shocks/struts/springs

Yeah, guess you are right, it does have the UCA, didn't think about that when I replied. I still think it is an integral part as it controls height unlike a standard shock Sorry Tom, you were right .... like always!! :D

    shocks/struts/springs

And they aren't? .....if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, quacks like a duck..... then I though it was a strut! :D Guess I need someone to explain to me what a strut is. Shocks vs. Struts "Often strut is confused with shock absorber. Though just like shock absorber, the strut too...

    Homemade rock rails?

Most normally have bars that attach to the frame and a lengthwie bar or angle to attach to lower pinch weld. Here's a couple links for ya that might explain. http://www.lostkjs.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16578 http://www.lostkjs.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15125...

    shocks/struts/springs

Unless you can snag a pair of stockers from the dealer on the cheap, maybe on clearance, you're only choice is aftermarket which will give you some lift. Or Find a pair of Diesel front springs and replace your stockers with those, that will stiffen it up in front. The least lift would be light...
