Just trying to get some of my investment back
remember the "bail out"?
This may be why?
I just figured that after all the money they got
the products would be better
Not locally
We are still "compact" enough that most people
drive probably 100 miles or less per week
or like us they drive 400+ and own less car
This is why a well equipped Corrola is $20k
So if you drive a lot they "take you behind the wood shed"
on a dinky little car
Or if you don't...
Not really worried about the $11k in inflation
But nearly 50% is a bit much
The fact that Toyota and Nissan both are bigger
get better mpg and offer more power for the same
or less money something is wrong?
Then if we step up to the WK ,Grand
With a V8 and the same equipment as the big dogs
over...
So yeah me and my wife are looking to sell or trade
the VW ,she will no longer be commuting 70+ miles a day
so we looked at the KK
Equipped like the old KJ will sticker near $35k WTF?
and a grand with a V6 is near $40k
did I miss something?
We paid $24k for the KJ
Even the "cheeper"...
Never known of a 2.7 in a Jeep
Know of a 2.5 but I thought it had a chain
just like the 4.0 or 3.7 which as stated will
out last the engine
And don't be a dummy like me and ask
"I don't see any thing in the owners manual about
when to change the timing belt when I know I need to!"
Only to find...
I am thinking about building some long arms for the TJ
However I would use DOM and weld in some inserts
Then buy the ready build Johnny joints
you could build some real nice adjustable lowers
with left and right threads on either end making them
adjustable on the Jeep
They would cost but any...
Does not matter what vehicle you have
the SYE is only t-case related
Now the required new drive shaft will be
"custom"
Probably best purchased from a place like Tom Woods
How ever any drive shaft with the correct u-joints
and a slip joint can be cut and balanced
Big problem on my F250 but not my TJ
The 250 sees 15 time the milage the TJ sees
after 3+ years and 98k on the OE battery I have had to
replace the terminal on the positive
but the TJ has killed 3 batteries due to sitting
and still on the OE cables ,10 years
I coated the positive terminal on...
Talked to a guy who had an F150 with the Ecco boost
"Junk and not worth it"
said he was lucky to see better than 18 mpg highway
with nothing in the truck
considering that my 9000+# F250 with the 5.4L gets
14-15 highway I would say that sucks
he also said that it did not pull as well as his old...
You will need to do some "fab work"
For the 2wd low kit to work but it will
as long as you have the 231 case
I would do the HD chain
This will basically give you a 241 less a little
oil
I would also do the 2wd low kit
Simple
It has been ,what?, 25 or so yeas that every auto maker
has been putting IFS in there full size trucks
except ford with TTB or 3/4 ton
The last TJ Dana 30 rolled out
Auto parts stores are more likely to have parts
for something 5 years old then 25
Same rule when...
