What did you do to your jeep today?

How do you polish a windshield? The windshield on my 07 XK is the OG, and it is sand blasted like crazy.

    KK skid plates?

Skids come up every once in a while on Craigslist, FB Marketplace, and EBay. You can also try your local wrecking yard. Look for the “Renegade” trim package because they almost all came with skid plates and tow hooks. The gas tank skids will be rusted to nothing, but the others (engine...

What did you do to your jeep today?

What maintenance did you get done? It is raining for days here in Philadelphia and so no Jeep work is getting done here for a while.

    Need help ASAP

There might be a computer glitch since it was the learning procedure that seemed to be the beginning of the issue. How about disconnecting the battery overnight and turning everything back on in the morning?

    KK off-road?

Your Renegade likely came with the skid plate package. Sounds like you used them! The stock Renegades were not any higher than the rest of the KK’s. A small lift using OME springs and OME or Bilstein shocks will do a ton for your break over angle. It will also improve the on-road...

How To: Change front driveshaft / change a driveshaft head

I have done this fix for my 08 KK twice (now has 227,000 miles) and did my 07 Commander just last month (157,000 miles). The TC end of the front driveshaft seems like a wear item on just about every model of Jeep, unless it has an old fashioned U-joint there.

    Need help ASAP

Circuit high often means it is missing a ground. Check the connector and the wires going to the pedal position sensor for a broken or frayed wire.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. My father in law held the window glass up in his Buick LeSabre one time using a cut-to-length piece of 2x4. Fixed it a couple of weeks later when the regulator became available.

Rebuilding JBA Adjust a Struts - part numbers

There’s a pic of the rear springs in a box in one of the previous posts I made here on page 2. ^^^ In terms of cost, plan on about $1000 for rebuilding the shocks, cleaning the coilovers up, repainting them, adding new springs, and shipping. Guessing, I would estimate new springs were somewhere...

Rebuilding JBA Adjust a Struts - part numbers

While it is possible to rebuild our JBA coilovers, it is harder than it seems. Ian at Wheel Every Weekend had to tig weld schrader valves to the top of the shock housings to be able to refill them with nitrogen. He told me he did not plan to refurbish any more JBA adjust a struts because of the...

    Help plz

I do want to say I have never attempted what you’re hoping to do. When my engine went, I had a shop put in a Jasper from the same model year. Please take any of my advice about swapping engines with a grain of salt.

    Help plz

The 07 and 08 had the same setup under the hood, even though the body style changed between years (mine’s and 08). If you keep the old 05 cable-driven throttle body, you will need to keep the 05 computer as well, and may need to make an adapter on the 07 engine’s intake manifold to hold the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yup, this O2 sensor is already malfunctioning so I don’t really mind if I destroy it. I just need it out without messing up the threads in the exhaust. I will plan to use anti-seize on it when reinstalling the new one.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I don’t have a torch. Would the propane torch in the HD / Lowe’s tool section be hot enough to do automotive work like this? I’m sure there are other rusty bolts that will need removing in the future.
