Yeah when I ordered my Ironman springs and shocks from JBA, it was either the front or rear springs were on backorder. I don't remember how long I waited for them, but they did come.
That's not entirely accurate though. One example would be the renegade got a higher output alternator. If I went to the parts store and asked for an alternator for a limited, I wouldn't get the right part.
I finished pulling the axle today, and you can see from the pics how the bolts were broken in the diff. From the looks of it being how rusty they are, they were probably broken for awhile before the mount actually broke. Kind of odd that it wasn't making any noises and didn't drive any...
A couple of months ago, I was driving down the road and the boomerang mount on the diff snapped in two.
I live in an apartment building, so I can't do any major work on it here. So I talked to the storage shed owners in town here, and they said they don't mind if I work on my Jeep in...
Started tearing the Jeep apart today. Got the rear drive shaft out, got it up on jack stands, wheels off and all the brakes disconnected. I'll go back tomorrow and finish up. Just gotta pull the shocks and springs, and disconnect the LCAs and I'll have the axle out. Didn't have as much time...
I've got Ironman springs and shocks front and rear. It's a firm ride, but not harsh at all. My mom has physical issues, and she doesn't have a problem riding in my Jeep.
Got it towed to the storage unit this morning. Not going to start tearing it apart until tomorrow thanks to having appointments for the kids all afternoon today.
Hmm, not sure about the ones you drove, but mine is a manual and it idles extremely smooth, and it's always been smooth and strong on take off. (of course it's broken right now)
