Well the fuse is under the hood, and it's actually labeled "light bar" on the diagram on the little plastic cover, as well as in the manual. So I'm confused as to why it's there if I don't have any wiring.
I think theyre both weight sensors. The passenger side sensor turns airbags on and off and chimes for you to put your seatbelt on. Drivers side sensor chimes for the seatbelt too.
Yes, I did. And no, I don't have any wiring. Just a fuse? SO WEIRD! So I'm gonna start calling junkyards tonight to try to find the stock wiring in an old kj.
So the light bar came today with the wiring!!!! BUT they forgot my light covers!!!! So, I'm gonna email them and ask them to send them asap. I think I'll just run the wiring that came with the light bar to get into the cabin, then I'll just run to a switch and an add-a-fuse then just wire them...
East Rochester is 6 miles from my house!! Thanks Ryan!!!!
People have always talked about harbor freight on here and I just thought it was one of those places that you hear about from everywhere, but never see (like sonic!!!)
It was a line level converter, nothing but a splice into the rear speaker wires(usually, so when you fade, your subs fade w/ rear speakers)if I were you, I would use butt-connectors to reattach the wires, pigtails are no good.
I love tinted signals (have them) but I like them the most when it starts as a clear signal. It really gives it a more smokey look, which I think is what you're going for. Nobody makes clear lenses for my KJ so I had to tint the stock, and it gave it a really dark amber color. I like my dark...
I'm very used to the window switches being between the seats, but every single passenger of mine isn't and always locks or unlocks the car. I know that many people enjoy the switches being wired to the center, but I think I would like them better on the door. Does anyone think I can rewire the...
Most likely not. I'm sure everyone knows that I can only legally use the light bar while wheeling, so I think I can handle keeping the subs off while I wheel! If it becomes a problem, I'll get a capacitor for my amp so they don't draw as much power.
No, it unfortunately does not. But I thinking I might just use an add-a-fuse and wire them straight to a 12v source, and use a switch. If that's possible. My dad's a wiring genius so we'll figure something out. I can always order all the wiring from my jeep dealer if necessary.
Just won an ebay auction at 9am for an 05 OEM light bar! It is missing one light cover but I can manage. Can't wait to do the install! Now if only tony lived in Rochester, NY ;)
