Try the H&R springs with Gabriel Ultra shocks. They'll get you to around 20" and won't break the bank. I have them on my 02 and wouldn't change a thing unless I add an ARB bumper and a winch. Even if I do I will try a JBA top plate to offset the additional weight before going to a heavier spring...
I agree. If I keep it here's my to do list. On top of new 30x9.5/15 studded snows ASAP. Also, goes in for it's 2nd coat of NH Oil Coat(black) Thursday morning. Planning to swap out the SST Pros for a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W in the Spring. Not doing justice to the SST Pros. Thought I'd be...
I'm retired, primarily due to health issues, and really can't justify keeping it if I buy a new truck. I'm picking up the Caddy tomorrow. If I like it at all, not really a caddy man, I might keep it as a back up for the Liberty. We'll see.
Had a chance to buy an ARB bumper for $900 shipped...
They're Cragar 15" Silver D Widows with 30x9.5/15 Cooper SST Pros. Just threw on my studded snows on factory steel rims and I miss those wheels already. Makes the vehicle look soooo different with them on. Even though my 16" studded snows are pretty much brand new I think I'm going to buy some...
This is the one I bought last year with only 11,000 miles. Only one prior owner. Mileage was confirmed on Carfax. They only drove approx. 700 miles per year. Guessing it was pretty much only driven to the grocery store and church and it was regularly serviced.
"Might" be selling my 2002 Jeep liberty with only 24,000 miles on it. H&R 2" lift, new shocks, new brakes all 4 corners, new brake lines, new exhaust, $500 stereo w/android auto, backup camera, Cooper SST Pro 30x9.5/15 and separate studded snows on factory 16" wheel. Interior is like new...
Got to imagine a local fabricator could come up with some type of winch mount utilizing the factory tow hook brackets. Unbolt the hooks and you at least have a primary anchor point to start with.
I'm with you. I'm not spending $1,000 on a front bumper for a vehicle that's only worth around...
Happens a lot. I made the same mistake when doing my H&R lift. Told my brother about it, a professional mechanic for decades that's owned a few garages, and he said he's seen the same mistake made by professional mechanic soooo many times over the years. At least you caught it before you...
I seriously considered the coilovers and they look very impressive. Couldn't justify the $$$ though for a 16 year old $6,000 vehicle, especially when I had just purchased it. Didn't know if I was going to run into any major repairs during the shakedown period. Maybe down the road, especially...
