Goodyear Wrangler Authority Tire LT245/75R16E 120Q

Large self cleaning gaps between the lugs. That's a mud tire to me unless you're looking to go with a "specific" mud tire that's not going to be very friendly on pavement, especially wet pavement. To each his own though.

    Clevis - Forged verses Stamped

Sure you're right about the spacers and would save a few dollars. They're not off the table yet. Have around 3,000 miles on the rear Gabriel Ultra's and love the ride, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Either way, now that I've been in there, broke free all the frozen bolts, etc, it will be...

    Clevis - Forged verses Stamped

Being the lazy bastard I am I'll probably keep a lookout for a cheap set of used stamped clevis and give them a try next time I'm under the Libby. Much easier than doing top plates and I'd prefer them over clevis spacers. I'll throw on a set of rear uppers as well while I'm at it. That should...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I agree. Was talking with a local Monroe shop manager the other day and he told me the arm on their commercial strut compressor let go not long ago(cracked). Glad I wasn't the tech using it at the time. We're talking some serious forces here especially with those heavier OME springs...

Goodyear Wrangler Authority Tire LT245/75R16E 120Q

Always planned to just go up one size to 235/75R16 or 245/70R16, but really liked the tread pattern and price on the "Walmarters". They're offered in limited sizes though. I'll probably just sell off my almost new 235/70R16 Grabbers and go with 245/70R16 Grabbers. Really impressed with the...

Need a GOOD fix for the rear joint on the front drive shaft? 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD S

If your vehicle isn't lifted excessively, which causes excessive wear, your propeller shaft could be bent or out of balance causing premature wear of the U joint. If it was really bad though you should be able to notice it while driving.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I don't necessarily recommend it, but I assembled mine using the OEMTOOLS 25550 MacPherson Strut Spring Compressor. I planned to have them assembled by a local shop or to borrow my brother's shop quality wall mounted unit. Got bored one day and had a little time to kill so decided to give it a...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Had new studded snow tires installed and a front end alignment done. Toe was way off after the lift. Camber was slightly out on one side as well, probably due to the new UCA on that side I just installed, but they were able to bring everything back into the green. They even realigned it a 2nd...

Goodyear Wrangler Authority Tire LT245/75R16E 120Q

    Ran 235/70R16 General Grabbers before the 1.5"-2" lift and never rubbed. Pretty sure I can easily run 1" taller and 0.5"-0.75" wider with no problem after the lift. Grabber Specs: 235/70R16 106T SL 640 A B 2,094 lbs. 44 psi 13/32" 33 lbs. 6.5-8" 7" 9.4" 7.3" 29.2" 714

    Clevis - Forged verses Stamped

Considering a 0.5"-0.75" clevis lift on my 02. I like the idea of using the newer stamped clevis instead of the spacers to gain 0.75", but concerned about the strength compared for the older forged clevis. Any thoughts on that? Thanks again for all the help and guidance you've all given...

Goodyear Wrangler Authority Tire LT245/75R16E 120Q

Hate Walmart, but love this thread pattern. Anyone familiar with these tires? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Goodyear-Wrangler-Authority-Tire-LT245-75R16/11983159#about I realize I will probably get a little rubbing sitting at 20.5" front and 21.0" rear, but I can easily add another...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Just finished up the rear springs. Ended up 20.5" front and 21" rear. Rides just the way I like it, especially after getting the rears in and leveling it up. Couldn't help myself last night though I had to take it for a ride after installing the fronts. Running 235/70R16's Grabber AT3 at...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I finished installing the front H&R springs and Gabriel Ultra shocks today. Checked the UCA, BJ and TRE while I was at it. The passenger side UCA ball joint had a little play so I replaced it. Wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be. Replaced a torn boot on the driver's side UCA...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hoping to start the install of my H&R springs/lift today along with replacing the BJ and TRE dust boots with Energy Suspension polyurethane boots. I will inspect and replace any worn BJ or TRE if needed. Ordered Moog Problem Solver parts ahead of time, but will return if not needed. I like to...

How To Restore My Libby's Brake System

I second that. My rears were toast and one blew out just after I made it down the step descents in VT and NY. Could have been very ugly!

Obviously, a "lunchbox" like a Powertrax No-Slip locker would be the easiest.

84852 Dana Spicer Chrysler 8.25" Posi 29 Spline Dodge Ram Dakota Jeep 1997+

Recommendations for front and rear? Remember 99% of the time on paved roads. Also, will only be placed in 4x4 in very low traction situations. Primarily snow and some mud and sand. Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try to pickup a used front and rear end and take my time setting both up with LSD's.
