Well here is an update to my rear tire change out!
[B]Threw a whole bunch of idiot lights on the dashboard after about 5 miles of travel! LOL
Pulled the studded snow tires off and put the Wranglers back on, then called and ordered 2 new 225/75/16 studded snow tires. There goes the budget! LOL
I saw the 2 inch height difference right away after they were mounted on the steel rims. I plan on getting 4 new tires in the Spring.
Thanks all for the info..
I recently moved back to Pa. and I guess I forgot to mention it is a 2wd. Florida jeep!!! LOL
All I need to know is am I going to do any harm to it if I run it with the Traction Control Disengaged?
Thanks
My summer tires are 225/75/16 and this year I acquired a set of studded 225/60/16 which I had mounted on a set of steel rims. I knew I would have a problem with the pressure sensors because there are none on the steel rims, but when I started to travel down the road my ESP, Traction Control, and...
Changed oil and filter, checked tire pressure, went to Tennessee for a week on vacation and for giggles I checked the mileage on the way back to Florida ( using old math- odometer and calculator). Came out to 21MPG on highway. I am surprised!
I bought a Curt hitch also and like you I can hear the receiver rattling under a load. I thought that it might be because I used a Reese ball mount. I keep thinking of measuring the hitch also but didn't have time.
Thank you all for your input and knowledge.
I think my best bet is to completely remove the driveshaft from the yoke and differential then strap the yoke in place so it cannot bump out.
Better safe than sorry..
Thanks
When you remove the driveshaft out of the tranny the splined yoke comes out of the tranny. There is a seal that goes around the splined yoke to prevent the fluid from coming out. Maybe I am looking at this wrong!
The manual says to remove the drive shaft and don't tow over 15 to 30 miles!
My dilema is I am towing for 1200 miles and still don't know if tranny fluid will leak out the tail of the tranny without the driveshaft.
Thought about rear wheels on tow dolly but will have to tie down the steering...
Relocating and going to tow my 2010 Liberty Automatic 2WD with a tow dolly back up north (front wheels on dolly). Read the owners manual but am still confused. Do I have to drop the driveshaft or can I leave it in with the automatic tranny in neutral?
If I take the driveshaft out will I lose...
Point taken!
Have installed many head units and understand the bus system and how it works, that being said I re installed the factory stereo.
Thought about just eliminating the speed sensor input and grounding the emergency brake input to bypass that input but the illumination wire is another...
I have found the speakers, ground and power wires were the same on the plug but I need the speed sensor wire location and reverse light wire input. These wires do not go to the factory plug.
I also have not found the illumination wire on the plug. I used a voltmeter on the plug and did not find...
Does anyone have any information on where the reverse wire is located under the dash or kick plate and what is the color code?
I am installing an aftermarket Eclipse radio and it needs a reverse light input.
I am still looking into the speed sensor input as well. Any info would be greatly...
