What did you do to your jeep today?

Replaced the battery and reset a recurring check engine light. Evaporative emissions leak again- my FAVORITE system to troubleshoot :emotions34:

Noise: "Squeak Squeak" on cold start

Nope, that's my next troubleshooting step. If it wasn't for the check-engine light it's now throwing at me once a day, I'd just be content to leave it alone. I hate the evap system.

Noise: "Squeak Squeak" on cold start

Does anybody know where I can find a 2003 KJ leak detection pump? I can find 2004-2006, but I think that gas tank is different than mine (18.5 gal.) There is no Chrysler dealership near me, and most online stores don't seem to carry one...

Noise: "Squeak Squeak" on cold start

Newest update to the Evap debacle, yesterday I started up to go to Home Depot, and heard the squeaking. My tank was nearly full. Within 2 minutes of start, I had a check-engine light with P0455 code (large leak detected.) Yes, I checked the gas cap. I crawled underneath and checked all the...

    22s on KK

I was kidding, but I never thought about the ride. With a factory suspension 22s probably do ride like crap since the sidewalls are so much shorter. Might explain why you don't see very many Libbos with 22s rolling around. I'm more a fan of functional mods myself, but then again I think a 4...

Cheap Fix for Transfer Case Cable Bushing/Clip

To fix your transfer case cable? You, my friend, got STIFFED.

    2002 KJ: Pull the head?

Sorry, but I think pulling the head is the only way to be 100% sure there isn't more damage. My guess is, the rocker arm came off for a reason (seized or damaged valve maybe, just a poor weekend mechanic's wild guess.) If you re-attach the rocker and turn the engine over, you are taking your...

    My new kj :)

Looks like a greenish tint to me. Maybe my iPhone screen is off. Khaki does rule though. Nice Jeep! When are you getting a lift/tires?

    22s on KK

22" diameter wheels create destructive harmonic interference and cause your Jeep's glass to crack and your bearings to degrade, eventually blowing your engine. Fact. That's why people stick with 16" or 17" wheels.

What did you do to your jeep today?

    Installed a new CB radio.

A little bit o' help with CBs and a few choices

It sounds like you're on the right track. I just got done installing a CB in my rig yesterday. My setup: Cobra 75WXST, because it's small and just a hand mic unit with all the controls on the hand mic, and everything else is hidden. It is a little more expensive than your basic CB though...

    CB Radios Obsolete?

CB Radio- INSTALLED. Just fine-tuning things from here, but it works! Eventually, I'd like a nice 2 meter VHF radio- taking my HAM license exam next week! :D

Steel wheels, any good for daily driving?

Steel wheels are fine for daily driving- I've had my soft 8s for over 4 years now. The only problem with them is they can be more difficult to balance than alloy wheels and since there is more rotating weight, they will cost you a little bit of mileage, especially in the city. The difference...

    love it here

Hells yeah from the CA Mojave! And remember, it's a JEEP THING!

Have I been lifted or not??

To answer your second question, you will need at least a 1.5" lift and longer bumpstops with 245/70R16 tires. I have no idea why you have 18" wheels on that JEEP. I've never seen a JEEP Liberty with 18" wheels. Most people use 16" wheels on their JEEP. Some use 17" JEEP wheels. But 18"...

Question about bolts needed for hitch.

You need an auto parts store. Autozone, NAPA, O'reilly's, Carquest, etc. HD and Lowe's don't stock automotive bolts or taps. I found that out the hard way too.

    Time for a new poll...

Ry, you're a badass wheeling MACHINE and I'm just a mall-crawling poser whose Jeep has never seen anything but pavement. Feel better? (I keed, I keed) ;) But seriously... you have been on some amazing trips. I definitely wheel my Jeep, but it's weak in comparison.
