    04 KJ Tire Pressure Sensor

Ok so the TopDon T-Ninja 1000 doesn't have anything useful over the Autel KM100E. In fact the latter has free lifetime updates supposedly, the former does not. I'm debating even bothering with the UltraDiag at all at this point. Also the KM100E is a LOT smaller, and doesn't need an additional...

    04 KJ Tire Pressure Sensor

I have not, as I bought an Autel MS906Pro-BT 3(?) years ago, and it's served me well enough since. Only reason I've been looking at other tools right now, is for IMMO functionality beyond what the 906Pro does, without spending $4000. Frankly I just want to be able to reliably pull IMMO passwords...

New guy looking at getting a Liberty

that's why I'm saying they should have been done. Diffs have a only a 30k service interval according to the book. pretty sure that's the same on the t-case. One thing I *can* tell you is, 130k MILES is too far. :D

    04 KJ Tire Pressure Sensor

I've been playing with the Autel KM100E, with some decent success. I've got a Topdon T-Ninja PRO and UltraDiag on the way in to test as well. One of them, I'm keeping.

    235/70/16 Front + 265/75/16 Rear?

and now you can't do a proper tire rotation. which means the rears wear more than the fronts. which screws with the transfer case and driveline when in PT 4WD, or runs the diff more in FT 4WD. if you're not doing it "for looks", then why do it at all?

Advice Needed: Engine Light On - Transmission Repair Required

only you can make that call. I've seen several of these run north of 250k MILES (freedom units... that's 402k maple syrups :D ) and farther. now will something else expensive break at some point? my crystal ball broke many decades ago. :D

Advice Needed: Engine Light On - Transmission Repair Required

this is what a jeep I recently sold (with full disclosure btw) is doing. next time he's out of country for a week i'm getting it back to drop the solenoid pack and clean it, to see if that fixes it. trans was poorly maintained before I got it (never changed in 136k miles... yea brown ugly) so...

service records. especially surrounding the transmission, transfer case, differentials. most people will do their oil, but not the others. and at that mileage (maple syrup units) it should have had all of those done at least once if not multiple times.

Need to replace my 2002 KJ engine

And yet I can sit here and tell you stories about "reputable" shops telling people to **** (present company included... F U Jasper...) when it comes to issues with their "rebuilds" within warranty. Sad fact it, no matter what it's still a crap shoot.

What did you do to your jeep today?

they do it for pretty much any fluid. i've sent oil, transmission, diff, t-case (which is just atf+4 anyways), etc. off to be checked. pretty much a defacto event every time I buy a used car. you can learn important things, or confirm suspicions that way.

What did you do to your jeep today?

you should have sent a sample off to blackstone labs. you'd get a good report back as to the condition of the transmission.

What did you do to your jeep today?

the flex joint is a heim joint style. good points: it's greasable, probably rebuildable, has better flexibility if you're articulating. bad points: it's going to need that maintenance as it's open to the elements in a place where it'll definitely get dirty when off-roading, and yes it'll...
