What did you do to your jeep today?

on topic: so now that I have a spare set of rear axle and front diff, should I DTT or electric/air locker them? and why? Not interested in lunchbox style. keep in mind they're currently 3.73 geared (and i'm on 3.55's right now), and I'd want parts/components that can transfer potentially to...

What did you do to your jeep today?

drove it about 30ish miles. mix of city and a 10 minute run on the highway. had to do a trans relearn. still locking up the torque converter a little harsh, but I guess getting better. overall it's going back to its owner on Monday.

What did you do to your jeep today?

so now that i'm almost done with the khaki jeep, I need to figure out what to do about the silver one who's trans I stole. thinking of bolting the broke trans back up to it, mostly so I can run the engine and diagnose it's #3 misfire, hopefully. question is, should I leave the torque converter...

What did you do to your jeep today?

not one of my jeeps. let's play a game: what do the lights really mean. ABS/TRAC/ESP-BAS: at least 1 wheel speed sensor is not responding. AIR BAG: clock spring is faulty. CEL: bad cats and/or O2 sensors.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Okay everything is put back on it. The only thing I have to do now is pull the transmission pan and put a new filter in the thing before I fill it up with fluid.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Okay some good news. After clearing the codes because I'm an idiot and didn't make sure one of the connectors was clicked in all the way, I recycled the power on the Jeep and it comes up with no error codes in either the ECU or the tcu. Yes I know, it's the same damn module, but it split...

What did you do to your jeep today?

dead trans has 140k. VLP trans came out of a 174k vehicle, so maybe it's that used? it worked great on the drive back from storage, and I sent a sample of fluid off to blackstone-labs to get a reading on the internals. it didn't look great, but unlike the 140k trans, it didn't smell bad and...
