What did you do to your jeep today?

Could well be. This kid hit every hole, every trip for 6 months while learning to drive. Lol. He is much better now! Still gets to help with the job.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Someone is getting ball joints after breaking down in the school parking lot. The tow bill was a bit steep, but since I already have the parts on hand, it is not too bad. Plus son#5 gets to see why i gripe about hitting every pot-hole instead of evading them things!n. My towing driver is...

No blinkers, hazards, or flashers when locking/unlocking

I have nothing then. Maybe a friend or shop that has a high level scan tool could see what the data from the computer is doing.

Car Handling Issues at High Speeds: Rear-End Swerves and Knocking Sound – Seeking Advice!

1 - rear bushings - lowers give the swerve on acceleration - deceleration - Just did these on my 04 (which btw, had already had the recall work done years back). Look at the link and info above us. 2 - The knock under your foot may well be the driveshaft from the transfer case to the front...

    2008 Jeep liberty starter problem

So - Let's focus on turning the engine by hand. How did that go? Easy to turn, hard to turn? Easy then hard, etc? It could be conceivable that several starters are not good right out of the box, especially given the quality of remanufactured parts these days. Next new starter - before you...

Tipm to alternators has extra wire

They are likely grounds. At least the terminal with many wires. Probably low on the left head. Other, I am not sure, but a meter or test light might help ID the issue.

Redid brake system but left with a problem

The defective hose will balloon out like an aneurysm - Pressure makes the weak place bulge. There may or may not be a leak, but if the hose is bulging, it needs replaced. There may be 5 hoses in total, one for each wheel and one from the rear brake line from the abs that hits a metering block...

Redid brake system but left with a problem

Are we losing brake fluid when the engine is running and the pedal goes to the floor? - if yes - I suspect the master cylinder is leaking into the booster. -- quick and dirty test - pull the vacuum hose at the manifold or the booster and see if it is wet inside. --- yes - bad master / no - keep...

Redid brake system but left with a problem

Just to add - A brake pedal will be extrememly firm with the engine OFF. With engine running - the pedal action is 'softer' Your tell here is - Does the pedal continue to the floor with engine running. If yes, you have a leak somewhere. If just 'not what it was' before changing the brake...
