02 v6 4wd auto
July is gotta fix the AC month! Plus Long hair Shepard can't stand a hot back seat!
Not sure where to start. Gauges say 50lb low & 200lb high with the compressor running. AC Runs cold at idle.
If I raise the RPMs over 1000 the compressor shuts off, then warm air. AC stays off.
Yes the AC fan comes on and off when the compressor is on.
I'll push or tap the AC Clutch by hand and the clutched engages the compressor and makes cold air again for a short time.
When the clutch is running it doesn't look like its slipping. With the engine off I can easily turn the compressor by hand.
Swapped out relay no change.
I measured voltage at the clutch connection. The black clutch wire with white stripe has voltage until the clutch disengages. So something is turning off the clutch.
** I just shorted the Low Switch and the clutch stays energized. Then it started to make friction sparks and was slipping.
I'm ordering a new Clutch kit and might have to evacuate & charge to see if the low switch will keep the clutch engaged.
Oh no here comes the Parts Cannon!!
Thanks
