Looking at traction control yet again for my rear end, there is an affordable ox locker in my area, its the cable actuated model, anyone running this?

I dont have it currently, but when I had my 93 Wrangler, I had test unit #3 in the front axle of my Wrangler. I LOVED it. let me tell you, that thing I swear could take a hit from a small nuke. It was SOLID, and the front diff cover I got with it would smash rocks no problem. Mine was the cable actuated model. To engage, it would take a bit of rotation of the tires for the gears to mesh, disengage would disengage immediately. It worked flawlessly for me. It does for sure become the strong point of the axle.
The Ox locker was the first traction device I had for my Wrangler, and it sure did move my Jeep up a class in off road ability.

Well that about settles that for me! Thanks!

I assume you just find a way to run the cables up front and mount them somewhere? I most likely will have to get a shop to do this install

For the rear you do have to get a shop to install to make sure all gears are meshing properly. On my Wrangler, cable run wasn't difficult, being that the front axle is close to the drivers seat and also mine had no carpet or anything. I ran it through the floorboard to the left of the brake pedal and mounted the shifter just to the left of my drivers side seat, on the floor. That way I just reached down with my left hand and shifted the cable.
