Hello I just picked up a eBay navi radio for my 04 liberty. The radio is serving it's purpose. I have had better but it is ok. I would buy another. The issue I have is the lack of installation instructions and owner manual. I basically plugged and played. My steering wheel buttons don't work. There was a loose wire that had steering wheel tag, but no instructions of what to do with it. I was watching a YouTube video about the radio and the guy mentioned that you hook up the wire to the red-dark-blue wire on the clock spring plug. I looked up the jeep wire diagram and the radio switch return wire is red-dark-blue. Any thoughts and has anyone done this? Thank you in advance and any help would be appreciated!

If I get some time to get home I'll call you. But the unit comes with a pig tail for the wheel controls that is labeled on each wire 2nd the unit has to programmed for the steering wheel controls witch should have been done when you ordered it. Was it? If not you have to get in the root directory. You can do it your self but a bit complicated. Took me a bit on how to get out of windows and get to the non windows program. Like I said not the best radio in the world but still darn good.

What radio did you put in it, the optional Mopar unit, or some aftermarket unit?

It sounds like it may have the wrong map package installed, either way.
