Wow... An average of 25hp. That sound's pretty good to me. I was expecting much less. *10-15hp average*

Thanks for the updated info.

the 25HP that they're picking up, is that at the wheels? or are they taking a number off of the dyno and calculating it to guess what they got at the crank? Or did they just pull the whole engine and put it on an engine dyno? It would be easy to get 235 out of the 3.7 at the crank if you ripped it out, stuck it on an engine dyno, threw your headers on it and just "forgot" to put a muffler on and such. I'm not saying that i doubt the results, hell i'd LOVE to get 25 RWHP for $600.00, i just want to know how they did their testing.

Wow... calm down. I'm just letting you know. I'm probably going to be one of the first people to get them on, and as soon as I do I'll let everyone know. But I have no reason to doubt the guy. But it's an average gain, Average meaning several vehicles, and the gain you have at the rear wheels. Don't forget the %25 reduction for drivetrain. And the results are from Liberty owner test vehicles, probably with different mods like exhaust and intakes or who knows.
The guy knew I already had ordered them, he didn't have to sell me on the product.
Personally, I feel for coated headers it's going to be more like 20hp. But with the right conditions, you could get 25.
Lean into the engine and take a look at what is considered exhaust headers on all vehicles. 3 or 4 pipes, cast iron, shoved into one Y connection. Freeway speeds, the exhaust is forced together making a backpressure in the engine. Exhaust headers are one of the oldest and best ways to make HP and torque.
The best way to explain this is to breathe and exhale through a straw all day, don't forget to run. Then get rid of the straw, that's your engine on headers and a intake.

I wasn't tring to sound riled up (althoug i realize that i did, and i apologize), i was just trying to eliminate all of the variables. I wasn't doubting the gains that the company claims, i know that headers can produce some serious HP gains, especially when coupled with a better intake tract. I was just trying to see under what circumstances the company tested. Like i said, i'm more than happy to pay $600.00 for 25WHP, but i just wanted to make sure that that is in fact what i would be getting. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, i just wanted to know how the test was conducted. I'm now under the impression that they simply installed the headers and ran a dyno test. I have every intention of coupling these headers with a new muffler and intake as well to complete the afformentioned "straw/no straw" effect. Again, i apologize if i upset anybody, that wasn't my goal, i simply wanted to know how the test was conducted.

An update.
I still don't have them yet. Talking to a rep from JBA, they say they've been having problems getting all the legal paperwork from CARB. (as you all know CARB is the single dumbest state run organization on the planet)

So it could be 2 more months. I'm hoping less, as I'd like them installed for a road trip that's coming up in 2 months.

So if it ends up being 2 more months, that's 5 months of wait time, on something I've already paid for. Should I keep waiting? or cancel and get back my money, because they made no promise about the 2 months. It could be more.

Well this is a final update.
This was supposed to be the week I recieved them, but I just talked to a person over at JBA, the stainless headers, now they're looking at a minimum of 3-4 months away. And that's if they decide to go through with it all. Any coated headers, he didn't even want to guess. This is cited over a lack of orders. This is from the head of production.
(I guess around a 100 orders isn't enough now a days. I was #8)
Even if everyone bought the high buck version at around $600 a shot, that's still $60,000 dollars. Oh well. I'm saddended by this news. Guess I'll be going on my trip without a boost in power or mileage.

Oh yeah, by the way, I waited a total of 8 months for nothing........

Must of had more problems getting their papers.
In the description it says "Direct replacement for stock manifold" but then it says"For off-road use only and is not emissions legal"

Taking another look at these, after most posts saying an 02 needs too much modification on cats to use these... find several parts and prices lower than I first checked - only $456 ?

First time I see fitment for 02-04 Liberty rather than 03-07. Wonder if there are big differences between JBA 1930S, 1930S-1 and 1930S-2 ?
