Just found out something about the rear replacements in the 07 (02-05 parts). The glass is thinner in the 02-05 which will cause a rattle if the window is not all the way up. It's not a big deal except that it had me thinking that the regulator was going bad again. the dealer just pulled and...
FYI, I just took my 07 in for a few repairs while it's still under warranty. I was informed that Chrysler has extended the warranty on the Liberty regulators since it is a "known issue". He did not have specifics about the extension, just that they are aware.
You may be correct on where it's added, but I am sure that the percentage added changes during the year, and that it affects MPG. It's common knowledge. If you pay attention to mileage using the same station, you will see fluctuation a few times per year.
I'd love to find a station that does...
There is an easy answer to this, at least where I am in CO.
On the gas pumps here in the states, most will say may contain up to 10% ethanol. In the winter months the gas refineries will use a higher ethanol content to avoid pollution. During the winter in Denver you can actually see a brown...
That's just about what Chrysler told me, almost word for word. They also went so far as to pay for the aftermarket tint on my front windows!
There is a TSB for the '07s that replaces the windows and the regulators to the ones with the metal tabs. As stated earlier, you should still be under...
Let me think about how much. I checked and both the '03 and '07 take the same install kit so it looks like it will fit. The only concern I have is pulling the satellite antenna. If I know how much a new one is, it will help determine how much for mine. If I have to pull it and buy sopmething to...
I have a factory unit that I may be willing to pull out. My 07 is leased but I think I will be buying it in the next few months so I have no need for the Sirius unit. The factory head unit is already out. Let me know if you are interested.
I would recommend getting something that does not use...
I'm sorry, I do not. Let me see if I can get it.
Pulled from Lost:
TSB #2303807 -- WINDOW BIND, STICK, OR CHATTER. *KB (NHTSA ID #10022629, AUGUST 29 2007)
When you talk to Chrysler be aware that the NHTSA number is NOT the same number Chrysler assigns to the TSB that Chrysler sends out to the...
There was a TSB released a few months ago. I know it covers the '07 models and it replaces the regulators and the glass. I had all 4 replaced on my '07 and have not had an issue since. You may want to start there since it's still under warranty.
Give me a while and I'll let you know how well they work. Who knows, they could be from an earlier year. The glass has to match the tracks but the location of the connection to the regulators is different.
Yes, mine was in warranty. It's an '07 and still under full warranty. I only had 2 that...
Even better, there was a TSB released last week covering the regulators. I am not sure of the extent of the TSB but they replaced every window and all 4 regulators last week on my '07. I did find out that the new regulator design does require new glass.
Mine never fell off, they just made...
Correct. However, knowing is always 1/2 the battle. Mine was in warranty and they still tried to charge me for some of the work. I laughed and actually got Chrysler to agree to reimburse me for my aftermarket tint.
If you know there is a TSB and you can play your cards right, it's worth a shot...
So I took my '07 to the dealer on Friday so they could work on my front windows. Both were having issues that have been described here and on other forums. They called me about 1/2 way through the day to let me know that they had just received a TSB that addresses the faulty regulators in the...
