    Gas Overflowing?

Recall My 2006 just started overflowing after 6 years and 85K miles of troublefree fill ups. I have not changed my fillup habits. Insert filling tube, fill on automatic, remove filling tube. I have never tried to squeeze in more fuel after the click of the auto handle shutoff. Never...

SRA's work well for my 06 Liberty in the snow, ice, rain or dry. Everything is factory stock. PICNIC = Problem in chair, not in configuration.

Forbes names two jeeps "worst cars on the road"

Consumer Distorts Imho, that drivel mag isn't fit to catch the dropings in the preverbial birdcage. What is their agenda? Is it to rate the freedom loving American made autos low? After 6 years and 90 K miles of ownership, I would still buy another new Liberty. Below are my reasons...

    parking brake adjustment

Parking Brake design well thought out I can only speak for my own 06 Liberty. The parking break has always performed well, even when one of the shoe sets were totally wasted and only the rear passenger side shoes were hugging the hub. Imho, It is a clever design using the inside of the...

    Terrible Mileage on 2012?

20 mpg (combined) for this liberty 3.7, towing edition KJ, hasn't changed much at all since new. There is much that affects mileage results...start hunting for the obvious culprits first. If nothing is found then search for the hideous hidden ones.

    parking brake adjustment

This is a KJ discussion, is it not? Wranglers are obviously way different. How I adjusted the parking brake on my KJ was to replace the rear parking brake shoes, pads and rotors and then pull out the plug to acccess the starwheel adjuster. Its quite easy actually. The starwheels were rusted and...

    Tire Longivity

I did replace the tires with the originals. (Goodyear Wrangler SR-A) They were replaced after 82,000 miles on 9Dec10. Their life was about 4 1/2 years. The replacement cost was just shy of $800 balanced and installed. Note to the naysayers...watch and learn.

    How to: Install/Replace 3.7l Waterpump.

Spanner Wrench Substitute I felt that it was time to chime in with "how it can be done" that might help another brother from a different mother KJ Owner. I just finished replacing the waterpump and thermostat on my 2006 Liberty V-6 3.7 Liter with the heavy duty fan cooling system. (94,000...

    Back driver side brake grabs

Brake noise I just completed a brake pad/emergency brake shoe and rotor replacements on my 2006 Liberty (front and rear). The picture is the rotor/drum and emergency brake shoes that had the both e-brake linings come apart inside of the rotor/drum. The drivers side failed while the passenger...

    Tire Longivity

Is it abnormal to be getting such great tire life? I now have 75,000 miles on a 2006 Liberty, and can't find anyone that inspects tires and says that they need replacement. (and these are the guys that sell tires) Once in in an article of Click and Clack it was advised that after 5 years the...
