BC Jeep Club Toy Run - Nov 25

BC Jeep Club is having an anual toy run/food drive Nov 25. We're meeting at the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy) at 9:30am to gather toy and food donations. Then they'll raffle off some prizes, and then off Hale Creek rec site for some BBQ. At this point we've got 70 - 80 vehicles signed up...

Who has what lift kit in their KJ or KK?

You had to ask! I bow my head with shame when I say I have the Rough Country lift. Sometimes on the trails it sounds like my front end is gonna drop off. It does the job for now, but it is high on my list of stuff I want to replace (as soon as I get through my list of things I need to replace)...

    Where to carry extra fuel

5 gallon is better than the 2.5 the other sytem carries. But yes, the only time you have too much fuel is if you're on fire! I'm thinking eventually I'll find a way to mount a 5 gallon can directly to the gate on the left side of my spare. I'm a little leary about hanging things off my spare.

"black ops liberty" worst KJ build ever

I don't have a Trail Rated badge, instead I have pinstripes front to back from being on the trails. I don't have a coat hanger....ur......I mean stinger bumper, but I do have tow points that have been used. I've been stuck, but that's because I take it places where getting stuck is a...

    Gas tank explosions?

This worries me about as much as a rainy day. And being from BC, you get used to rainy days. You mean to tell me that in a rear end collision bad things can happen, who knew?

    Call out!

I'll know better if I can make it when the date gets closer. I'm sure it would be a great time with good food (I'm guessing no seafood!).

    Speedometer Accuracy

Speedos may be +-, but some people usually do 20%+ over posted limit anyway! I've got an aftermarket EVIC type unit and there's about a 3-5% difference in the speed reading (and I assume in all other readings). Unless you're doing 200mph I wouldn't worry about the slight variation.

    upgrades?

Wheel it, break it, upgrade it. Your Libby will tell you what upgrades it needs. Mine tells me what it needs, I tell it what I can give it. Perhaps someday we'll agree.

    Lift Kits... Need Advice.

I got a Rough Country 3" lift on mine (spacer in the front, new coils and shocks rear). But I agree, save up for a proper system. Sure it lifted the vehicle, but it cost me 3" of down travel in my front end. I get a very audible clunk when the front end drops out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I...

    thank guys

Sometimes I will read a forum so that I know what things to look for on my own vehicle. I am no mechanic by any means, but I'm glad there are people out there that are willing to help me learn. Everyone else is right. If I can't answer a post, I don't. Do you really want to read 50 "I don't...

    Overheating(electric radiator cooling fan)?

My rad fan blew out mid last summer. In order to limp it home until I got to the dealer for an OEM fan I pulled the dead one out completely. That helped out a little. My thought was "if it's not working it's just restricting airflow through the rad". In the city it got a little warm (I never let...

    Camping/wheeling trip

Well we made it. And it's not my fault it was at the exact time you were leaving (I blame the wife). I guess next time we'll have to head out a little earlier.

    Camping/wheeling trip

I'm gonna try to get out there for Sunday afternoon. I've moved some stuff around at work and I wanna get out for a little day trip!!

    It's really too bad that...

Would like to get out there, but I'm on call that weekend. I'm sure at some point I'll get some free time and perhaps we could do a day run then. Would love to get a closer look at the work you guys have done.

    programming keyless entry remots

This is just for programming keyless remote entry. For programing the transponder chips in the key you do require two working keys for on-board programming. If you only have one key, a dealer (or some locksmiths can do it) will have to get involved. Rule of thumb I tell people: If your vehicle...
