i mean looking at the titles, the 8th dig on the vin they are both k`s ..
not sure if all vin numbers have Ks or not ... but the two i have they are both K`s .
im just gonna go for it, and if i have to change something out, ill have to change something something out..
Hope i get lucky . And got a later 04 body with the newer computer so i won't have to change anything out ..

to me that thread is taking a Newer motor and putting it in a older body and a dodge into a jeep.
Me im just changing motors by 1 year and both are in jeeps ..
so yes the timing is going to be different, because they are two different auto companies so the sprockets...

See i have a 2005 liberty with a good engine and a 2004 Jeep liberty with a bad engine, so do i need to change out anything at all ?
they are both 3.7L and both a jeep liberty`s one is a sport and...
yep, on pass side rear, right at the weld for the lower control arm Lady we got the jeep from said everything was OK. but failed to tell us the thing was in a flood in Chicago, i checked best i could during 6" of snow. we didnt end up getting 6,400 miles out of it . Bought with 98+ k on it...
thanks, ill be take out the rest of the exhaust this weekend, if i can get to the upper Header bolts.. with it on the ground, wish i had a car lift would make it TONS easier ..
no doing a full motor swap over, want to get the exhaust swap over before the motor .. from a 05 to a 04 .. 05 frame broke and my 04 is in great shape..
doing a full on motor swap, the 04 i have has only a block and the exhaust was taken complete out of it. SO instead of buying new just using what i can from my 05 that the frame broke on it .. to get my 04 running and on the road ..
YES, now i am trying to figure out how to get the front...
the rear of the 05 mounts to the points were needs too .. im just tryin to figure out if i need to cut the cats off, in order to get the rest out or if i need to take off the crossmember for the trans in order to get it out and try to reweld it back. if all possible id like to not cut it out...
Having a bit of a issue with the y pipe and cat`s
I removed the back end of the Exhaust with no issue`s.
Problem i am having now is removing everything from the cat`s back,
Will i need to remove the crossmember and drop the trans, in order to get the y pipe and cats out ?
I want to do this...
im pretty much going thru the same thing, I have a 04 limited body that is in better shape than my o5 sport.
But the 04 motor was broke down to just the block, the body itself on the 04 has 192k on it, and my motor in my 05 only has 14k on it..
Im not sure what all that is unexpected that i have...
your winning me over to what you have posted in the way of advice ..

OK, i been going thru some parts and stuff for my Liberty build on the net ( ebay ) mainly ..
so far i am thinking of going with these Bilstein B8 8500 series shocks for the rear.
and i am also looking at some Skyjacker shocks as well ..
If someone has some links to sturts, please post it...
